2015 is clearly the best car year we've had for a while...

so clearly Ferrari goes turbo for the 2016 model year. this is because Euro 6 emissions regulations are kicking in this year.

Can somebody tell me how can GT3RS bypass and ignore those regulations? How can Porsche get the RS certified and approved by the agencies if it violates the Euro 6 emissions regulations? How confident can we be that the GT3RS won’t follow in 488 footsteps? I mean, i am no lawyer, but check this out:

http://europa.eu/legislation_summari.../l28186_en.htm

it clearly says that :

“the Euro 6*standard will come into force on 1*September*2014 for the approval of vehicles, and from 1*January*2015 for the registration and sale of new types of cars;”

so even if GT3RS got approved before September 1st of last year, it will be on sale after January 1st of 2015.

confused...

That's interesting. Seems like it's worded for every single car, not across the entire fleet. I could understand how the 991.1 GT3 RS slips by if it was applied across the fleet (Porsche sells more fuel efficient, low emissions vehicles than Ferrari does). But if it's on each car, that's complicated. What happens to SUV's? Or is there an exemption based on size?

And, isn't this how Lamborghini gets away with not having turbos in the Aventador or the Huracan? Since Audi / VW sell so many fuel efficient, low emissions vehicles...

Anyway, I think you can be absolutely sure the 991.2 GT3 RS will probably just be a 991.2 RS (merging the GT2 and GT3 lines) since it's almost assured to be turbo based on the trends we're seeing.

Focus RS is going to give the Golf R a run for its money.

The AWD system on the Ford is much better than the FWD + Haldex on the Golf. I would guess that the 2.3L Ford is good for over 400hp also, with a couple mods. My 2.0L Evo IX makes 425hp/435TQ very reliably.

OK full info on GT4 now released and expected deliveries this July. Yet still nothing on the RS? I guess this is related to the new engine / prev. engine issues but man this seems weird to me. Just release the beast!!!

Of course they won't tease them on the same day...save the best for last.

488 was previewed today as well...good stuff.

It will be teased before the show...stay patient

Yup. This ^^.

It would be foolish of them to release everything same day, or even back to back. Gotta build hype, wait for it to calm, then build again, and keep it going.
