Consolidated 991RS thread

Not according to the Head of Porsche Motorsports. He claimed last week in a private interview with one of our members here that the RS engine is the GT3 engine revised for increased capacity. Its a derivative of the 9A1 as in the GT3 claimed to have many differences from the 9A1 (as did porsche marketing literature for 991 GT3 engine) and forms the basis of the 9A1 replacement. The Hatz interview was unintentionally misleading. Infact it was a shambles!

No dramas. I had been given the same information last year by a member of his team so would have been surprised if there had have been a massive 180 degree product map reversal in the last few months. This thread has been constantly rocked by information that has no basis. I think we all need to just sit tight now and ride out the next 34 days in our cryogenic sleep modules...

Some of these comments don't jive with that and why would it work its way to other 911 variants if they are all ready using it.
Hatz told us at the Detroit show.
You can't afford to keep an engine for 10 years any more.
GT3 RS will utilise a brand new engine rather than an uprated variant of the ‘regular’ GT3’s 3.8-litre six-cylinder
Hatz let it slip that the new hardcore Porsche model will be the first car to feature the new powerplant, with the engine eventually working its way into other 911 variants.

Consolidated has such an institutional sound to it-I think this thread would be more appropriately called "Come Shake Your Present"
Seriously though, a couple weeks after I bought my C2S new in 2/13, and I had just returned to Seattle from a road trip to LA in the car, I was "bummed" when they wrote 2016 on the invoice I recieved for my deposit two years ago on the RS that I knew I had to have after a few thousands miles with the 991... Maybe they knew back then 😉

Whatever happens regarding the RS there is one person on earth who deserves one most - TRAKCAR. It is because of him that we have this thread and hope has been kept alive.
PCNA I know you are reading this - TRAKCAR should be the first to get an RS, even at the expense of every other customer. Greatness is rare. Please step up and do the right thing.
