after the ferrari 488 announcement are you really still interested in the GT3RS??? i have cancelled my RS preorder and secured an early (september the latest) allocation of the 488GTB::))

So is consensus that the RS will be unveiled in Italy ? RU kidding me ? Italy is the land of the prancing horse...not Porsche country. Geneva is my bet...they are neutral after all.

Peter. Congratulations on the order for the 488 GTB. Its going to be a great car! IMO the 991 GT3RS was never the right car for you mate. The 991 GT3 maybe but the RS is one step to far for cold weather road use and touring. Cant wait to hear more adventures with your 488. I think it was the better choice for you than the Speciale as is will cover more bases better and server your purpose more elegantly IMO.

They really need an NDA??! Not like they will be able to enforce it. What are the measurable damages of a photo getting out? The idiot die cast car company already f'ed up anyways.

488 is simply stunning IMHO.

I would be very surprised if someone is cross shopping a 488 ($300++) and a GT3RS ($200 +/-). I could see both in a stable for different reasons, but not one or the other.

RS will be snapped up, but certainly a very focused die hard P-Car track crowd.

Love both (from what I've heard/seen), but two different purposes/cars.

bad times sure as you say but expecially because there is an absurd rule so if you own a powerful car live a P.car you have to spend every year 5/6000 euro or more, just because you own that car..If you then add the cost of good insurance as usual,probably your "fix" costs just to have the car parked in your garage, are at least 50.000 euro in 5 years.You understand how difficult it is for sport's cars, to be sold in this period.And if we speak for example about a new Ferrari...costs are bigger of course (above 70.000 euro of fix costs in 5 years).

About the Italian privat presentation..I suppose that something similar will be done in other Countries.So this has not to be intended as the Rs international launch.Ferrari makes the same before official presentation with his Italian potential customers.Just check with your dealers in your respective Countries..
