IMHO rockitman is right.
Additional downforce and wider tires will allow the RS to have higher cornering speeds. The laptime difference will be more substantial at tracks that have flowing transitions.
For example:
In Buttonwillow. From Grapevine to the Bus Stop then from the Bus stop all the way to Lost Hills, Lost Hills to the Sweper or to Star Mazda. Sweeper/Star Mazda to Sunset.
At Laguna. Top of the Corkscrew (T7) all the way down to (T10)
At Big Willow, just the extra speed that the RS will be able to carry through T9 will probably shave a couple of seconds easily since that is such a long sweeper.

Depending on the track...a few seconds quicker is huge. Not taking anything away from the 3... I gotz one in the garage...the tweaks to the RS are hard to deny.

In a 2 minute track that could be about 24 second gap by the end of a 25 minute session.

But it has "flappy paddles"....doesn't that mean it's for grandmas?? You may have to change your sig line!
Seriously, nice find on the vid. The car looks awesome. I wouldn't trade my 3 for one based solely on the price differential and presumption that it will be less suitable as an all-rounder, but I've no doubt that anyone who is lucky enough to get one and use it as it was intended will have no regrets.

Yeah, I agree kill is an overstatement, but at the track 1-2 seconds a lap is very noticeable since the car that is faster will keep walking away from the slower car lap after lap.

Maybe I'm wrong. Anyway, when we have some real world numbers we can revisit the conversation.
