Do we really think PCNA will leave .1 owners with their original E/F motors out in the cold? I feel like they won't let the value of these cars tank. I could be wrong but I want to believe they would do the right thing.

I want to believe the best from Porsche AG but they don't have a great record with engine issues. Example, Intermediate Shaft Bearing failures do to bad design (oiling). Porsche AG continued to make the engines and while they fiddled with bearing changes, etc. they never fixed the lubrication issue. That hammered the resale value on cars with those engines.

My replacement G6 engine failed at 8K miles. Perhaps an uncommon occurrence, but it was enough to make me sell the car before the engine warranty expired.
Porsche needs to provide a decent mileage and time warranty on all replacement engines (e.g., 4 years or 25k miles), otherwise the value of these cars will tank and it will be a black mark for Porsche. That would be a shame because, other than the engine issue, 991.1 GT3 is a fantastic car.

No, that's why I sold my G6 and bought a 385 mile GT4 with almost the entire factory warranty remaining. I'm just stating the current difference in values, at this moment, of two identical 991.1 GT3's with an E or F or G0 motor versus a G6.

I hear a lot of dealers won't buy one without a G6, but then see some who have never heard of the issue, and some CPO'ing 2014's.
I think G6 cars will actually go up in value because of this, once it's more widespread knowledge that there's a solid engine out there.

My first G6 was the opposite of solid. I doubt I got the only G6 that was flawed.
