Furthermore, regardless of price, would any of you consider buying such a 29 K miles touring?
Wow things have really changed on Rennlist. It used to be discussions about the cars themselves and not necessarily about a 5 year old car with 29k miles as being used up and undesirable. A car that’s been driven approximately 6k per year is still a great car as long as it has been well maintained and not abused. This is true even with a GT car. When I had my 997.1 GT3 we used to focus on other things on this forum. I used to laugh at the Ferrari chat posts where people would be proud that their 10 or 20 year old Ferrari had virtually no miles on them. Mileage used to be a badge of honor on a Porsche. My 1988 911 which I bought new has over 152k miles on it that to me is low mileage for a 36 year old car. I love telling people how many miles are on the car because it’s in such great condition. So the answer is yes if I was in the market I wouldn’t hesitate to buy a Touring with 29k miles on it as long as it was well maintained. It’s a shame we have become like the Ferrari chat people as far a mileage is concerned.
Just thinking out loud........
What if it could be had for $180K and then just add 1000 miles a year, So by 2028 it would have 34,000 miles or 3400 miles/year and more on par with "average miles".....
Thoughts??
I put 6000 miles a year on my best bicycle. Cars (4) between 7k and 15 k each. Why on earth would someone buy a Touring for 1,000 miles a year? That's a very expensive paperweight.

that’s an insane amount of driving
you drive 40k miles a year? I drive 10 between 6 cars

I asked a simple question and I received a repentance sermon from you!

No you implied that no one should consider buying a Touring with 29k miles. You are entitled to your opinion just as I am entitled to mine. You definitely should buy a car, take a picture of it and then sell the car and hang the picture in your garage.

My problem is that with 8 cars and nowhere to go, it is hard to accumulate miles......

No judgment, but different mindset. I don't buy things just to own them. I don't get much pleasure out of that. I like to use things for their intended purpose.
I never got collecting, whether it's functional things (cars, watches) or non-functional (stamps, etc.)
Loving this Touring in Graphite. Listed @ $221k, 2,937 mls. Competitive list price for such low miles, guess because sofas and irons. Think this color looks much better with the red calipers anyways. https://www.mclarenboston.com/2018-p...11-gt3-c-1531/

To each their own.
I think you can own multiple cars and still love driving them. The problem is that there is only so much time in a day.
If I had the garage space, I'd probably have two or three more cars. Even with two weekend cars, it's hard to put on the miles unless you want to daily drive them.
