PTS PDK car with nice options and low miles sold for well below MSRP @ 170k
https://www.pcarmarket.com/auction/2...he-911-gt3-40/

Pretty clear where market is trending
Meh, a black PDK and an obnoxious green with aftermarket wheels... hard pass on both.

I would just say that pdk and poor choice of options limit the value upside, especially if you want to pick up your GT3 in Hawaii.
6 speed 991.2 Tourings are in the 230-250 range, GT3's generally 180-210 with some mileage sensitivity.
I don't see an imminent crash for nice GT3's with good specs, perhaps a settling for some of the outliers.

Peoples taste vary, clearly the poster below you finds it appealing enough. I would prefer that green over Carmine, for instance. Just trying to say that at the beginning of the year, we weren't seeing cars fail to make MSRP so it's nice for enthusiasts who are just looking for a way in

I am picking up a GT4 late this week getting back into a small manual from my larger 991.2 3rs I enjoyed for awhile but just missed manual so much and like smaller cars...

I fully expect the value of that GT4 market to drop 40-50k over the next few years and 991.2 GT market to drop probably 75k lol

The sky is def falling on the GT market, I just dont care MILES ARE SMILES!

Supposedly this is the last NA GT4 with electric Caymans coming. If that’s true I don’t see GT4’s coming down more than 20k off MSRP.

The green one includes factory wheels.

From original listing
"This sale will include 2 keys, owner’s manuals, sales literature, the factory 20” wheels, and the original exhaust tips. "

Maybe if he put back original, the price might be higher.

I expect the market to continue to correct, but I think those are some aggressive estimates. I consider it highly unlikely to find a 718 GT4 for 75k or a 991.2 GT3 for sub 100k ever. There are still supply chain constraints. And for the GT4, ICE production is coming to an end with electrification of the Boxster/cayman lineup right around the corner.

I actually ordered this 6 months ago because it's the end of the line of these, GT3's I still got 5+ years to go back to hahaha I really only buy new these days as used car prices make 0 sense to me on Porsches for the most part.

What if this whole ICE things makes no one want these cars anymore? Couldn't it go the other way too? Not just up?

And with all the doom and gloom cratering economy and the reversion back to used cars being terrible depreciators, even GT cars especially given the gluttonous supply, 991.2 GT3's at 140k and RS at 175k and gt4's at 80k would not remotely surprise me in 3 years.

I expect the prices to go down a ton..... REALITY ÷ EXPECTATIONS = HAPPINESS therefore I love my car no matter what the market does

It certainly could, and I think it's always best to remember that these are toys and you should expect them to depreciate by about 30-50% in 3-5 years.

I think the visceral nature of ICE cars, specifically NA Porsche GT cars, is going to make them appealing to enthusiasts for the foreseeable future. Sure, an EV variant will ultimately deliver better performance and ring times, but it's going to sound like a remote control car with a one speed "transmission".

Also, great call on getting a GT4 order in. I have one coming in a few months and I'm really looking forward to it! Production seems to be wrapping up on those. Still have some time to chase a GT3 as you mentioned!

I'd argue no one really knows, fine those are two examples but we have a RL'er who picked up his FAL-less GT3 still paid 35 over MSRP just now & I picked up my .1 3RS FAL-less PTS and paid well over MSRP just now. Two examples right there that might buck this "trend" & there are likely a whole plethora of private transactions taking place outside of our knowledge..

There are obviously spreads between what sellers think their car is worth, and what buyers want to pay "in this market," but what that delta ends up becoming who really knows. I believe good specs will hold value just fine, if you're driving and enjoying you don't care anyways as that's what we pay the $$ for. Plus I have a hunch 991 values will hold better than 992, maybe I'll be wrong, fun to speculate, and just elated to have the car

I don't know much about the pcarmarket car, but I did follow the black GT3 on BAT. Car was in Hawaii and also had a front end/side clear coat respray due to rock chips. No PPF at all, which could be a turn off for some at this price point. Also no DME report with 17k miles. When spending upwards of 200k on a car, I want all the details and clear explanations. Anything short of that is going to be a red flag in my book and cut off interest.

Amen - outliers will always exist: bad spec, issues, lack of full transparency, unwanted mods etc and rightfully the market will be less on those. But I don't see the sky falling and in fact given where the economy and markets are right now, even looking at the watch market, GT values have held quite well IMO (but also what do I know)

Buy right to enjoy and you should be fine. These are luxury discretionary toys to be driven and depreciated anyways
