i received one of what sounds like the final round of 992 GT3 allocations so my 991.2 will be for sale at some point. Most likely on BAT in the early spring. 3,272 miles on it currently.
Definitely seems shady ... but then i'm not surprised. A large number of GT3 "sales" in the past few months have been dealer to dealer shenanigans that distort the market. Looks like Hoffman Auto Group is sitting on 3 GT3s as we speak so they have a vested interest to ensure the prices stay high on public platforms. It also seems a bit odd that zhoffman9 is still bidding on cars so he hasn't been banned from the site (which is what happens when you welch on a deal).

Does anyone watching this thread know of a MB .2 3RS for sale, or perhaps know a member who may be willing to sell? Ideally it would have WP with Mg wheels, but my must-haves are LWBS, FAL, PDLS+ in black. I'd prefer PCCBs but for the right car I'd be fine without them.
I've been hunting for seven months now for my unicorn, and unfortunately missed one earlier this year. I may have to consider other colors if I still have no luck.
But the car is listed on romanmotorco website and under their dealership on Autotrader. So the sale even dealer to dealer is questionable. And he made a comment on the white GT3 listing about doing a dealer to dealer trade for $150k. I think these guys are typical shady second hand dealerships.

this one (not a Porsche) is allegedly awaiting payment - also won by the same hoffman guy and coincidentally also still on the selling dealer's website but marked as sale pending. Doesn't take that long to send a wire if you're in the business of buying and selling cars.

So, vast dealership cabal is conspiring to place fake bids on bat to artificially prop up the GT3 market, specifically, creating the misimpression that there's anyone out there who would possibly pay current asking prices for our hoopties

Oddly enough, yes? A Houston owner just got his 992 and before he had a Miami 1.2 RS with pccb, cage, and Dundon headers to exhaust. It was a beast. I'm sure its about to pop up for sale unless he traded it behind to scenes to another local enthusiast. Next car meet I'll ask.
