"I’m helping a friend who will be selling his 991.2 RS w/WP. It’s racing yellow and has most of the desirable options, e.g., PCCB, buckets, carbon fiber, exposed hood, FAL, etc. It’s at 4,500 miles and all stock. Hasn’t been tracked and service is up to date based on time and mileage. It’s scheduled to go in"

First question people are going to ask what is the warranty status? If not CPO or no extended warranty purchased it may just be about up. I have nearly the same spec miami blue car and I believe the warranty is up tomorrow.

Those BAT examples are good winged cars values for buyers. Where are touring prices currently?

Not the spec I'm looking for but certainly the right price. I'm sure a dealer will grab it and mark it up.

Thanks I found it. $30k over for 12k miles is crazy. Curious if it sells.

Prices aren't what they were even 4 months ago.

We'll see where prices end up in the next 6 months.

They’ll end up even lower. Honeymoon is over. These cars have no warranty anymore and CPO ones will also be outside of the coverage as well.

Will we ever have a time again where we don’t talk about speculation and people just talk about the cars? Hearing where people think these cars are going to end up or down, literally is exhausting. Granted no one wants to overpay for anything but we are also not getting any younger. Buy, don’t buy, drive or don’t drive. Let’s talk about how much we’ve probably lost in the markets over the last 2 years instead. That’s something that makes me want to vomit. I do know that when I get Into my touring and drive it makes a crappy day turn into a decent day.

gotta agree w/ the last sentence

i took my RS out to home depot yesterday to pick up some stuff, always brings a smile to my face

for a gear head, there's nothing like driving and experiencing the car...everyone that can should drive and enjoy them

Amen. When you find the right car- spec, color, condition, etc - do your best to buy it at market value. Trying to time the market as a whole - it’s not fun and you miss out on living. These aren’t investments and it’s ok for them to depreciate.

Just drive your cars and have fun, it’s a car stuff breaks ………if you have no warranty so what pay to fix it. If you can’t fix it you purchased the wrong car if that’s the worry just being real. It’s like buying a pool, and asking how much does it cost to fill each summer 🧐

Exactly! Warranty is a bonus but not a necessity for me. Spec/build and condition, well cared for, is what I’m looking for. If it has warranty to boot, great. If it doesn’t well It is what it is. To think that because these cars are running out of warranty is all of a sudden going to cause them to plummet in value is laughable. Under that logic all the air cooled pcars should be worth somewhere around a hamburger with cheese.
