I do not envy you the choice you must make. I'm loving both of those combos.

Oddly enough, yes? A Houston owner just got his 992 and before he had a Miami 1.2 RS with pccb, cage, and Dundon headers to exhaust. It was a beast. I'm sure its about to pop up for sale unless he traded it behind to scenes to another local enthusiast. Next car meet I'll ask.

Not sure if this is a serious question. Did you pay $75k+ over for a used 991.2 GT3 thinking it'll never go down in value? If so, i can understand the skepticism, but it's much healthier to accept it's happening and enjoy your car. This thread is geared more towards those looking to buy one, hence why we try to decipher what is going on in the marketplace.
To answer your question (to which the answer is fairly obvious) - this is essentially market distortion and/or manipulation - manufacturing of "fake" (aka cars don't actually transact for those prices) auction results in public auctions that buyers, insurers and other market stakeholders rely on to make decisions. It can distort one's perception of true market value for an asset. These aren't super mass produced Honda Civics, and thus don't transact as frequently in a transparent manner - there is very limited visibility and data for actual transaction prices outside of these public auction venues, which is why generating distorted auction results can have a material impact in one's perception of true market value.

I'm skeptical of the sleuthing and deciphering. What is interpreted as a broad dealer conspiracy, public market distortion to prop up GT3 prices could just be one dealer buying from another because the purchasing dealer thinks they'll be able to successfully move it in their market.
Exotics are purchased at auction, listed on consignment, transferred into my local market constantly for this reason. Not for theater, not to fool you.
Yes, since this is a thread geared toward buying 991 GT3's, the repeat assertion that anyone looking or acquiring right now is a "sucker" is absurd and misplaced.
But if the real values are actually in the toilet, dealers are under water and desperate, fake bidding on bat from their night jobs at the mcdonald's drive thru, then that's easy work. Go successfully negotiate on one for well under msrp

I miss my MB 991.2 3RS, I had no Wp and plat silver wheels and it was so cool.
You'll find one just have to be patient, it is definitely a color most people OFF RL proly don't want. FWIW I actually like Miami blue more than shark blue which I have on my GT4 I just got.

It's by far my favorite color offered for a .2 (non-PTS)

Yeah and afaik, U.S. didn't get any pts 991.2 gt3rs
as a side note, I actually like going with the colors Porsche offers and not pts. I think it's "keeping up with the times" of what Porsche loved and suggested in that specific time period. Think of arena red 993, a seal grey 996, a 997.1 pumpkin, a grey black 997.2 rs, I just think these colors are so iconic and I personally would rather have them than pts rarity aside.......and maybe in the future....991.2 miami blue

My second MB 991.2RS. I made a grave error in selling my Euro delivery first one for a GT4, and regretted it...so I had to find another. This one is higher optioned than my last one, though - I did steels, no front lift, and no carbon fiber accents.
