I am totally content with my Touring. Everyone asks what’s next and I say nothing. 992 was great car but ended up keeping the 991. Feels comforting to know I have what I want. I don’t subscribe to the trend of having the latest and greatest, if that exists. Find what you like, drive it and don’t worry about values ( and if you do too much maybe it’s not the right car).

You chose the 991 Touring over 992 GT3? Can you elaborate why?

I have a thread on it already, I had both for a while but preferred the looks, ( subjective) , the ride which was better suited for street for me, gauges and infotainment system. There were several other small things but overall I decided to keep the 991. The 992 is a great car, but there is something about the 991 that trumps it for me. I understand I’m probably in the minority on this but you have to do what you like.

Minority over in the 992 section. I also feel the 991 is more special, and everyone (or should i say several) jumped onto the Touring bandwagon for the 992.

PSA on vin WP0AC2A90JS175116 at Porsche Downtown Chicago - this car was heavily tracked by the previous owner and had a severe money shift that required the engine to be replaced. Posting this in the event the dealer fails to disclose it.

Not at all. If I kept the 992 I would have actually been better off financially. My choice was based solely on the cars.

interesting. I drove both cars and granted it wasn’t on the track, the 992 gt3 just feels next level. 991.2 isn’t anything to shake a stick at and it’s definitely an all time great, but the 992 just felt more special (looks included).

Next level how? Next level in performance? We all know that. But some arent all into just performance. I have an incoming 992 TTS and I find the new interior and size of the car much more appropriate for a TTS application. New car is too big, too refined/luxury inside and some of that nostalgia is lost. Even the central tach thats analog feels too refined and less edgy. No doubt the new car is better in any performance way but as performance gets better some of that nostalgia is lost. This was the case in 997. No different in 991.

Still another 9 months of warranty on mine. I'll probably get an extended one before factory is up. No biggie.

What are you driving? I couldn't find a viable option for my .2 RS

Hard to find options, but I did find one from Freedom/Highline Auto.

Interesting you bring this up - I was talking about this with a friend the other day. We both agreed the 992 interior, tech integration and overall size really makes more sense for the TTS than the GT3.

Not worth it to me for a $20k maximum payout for an engine or trans failure.
