That is a mess. He could have retracted his bid as you are allowed to do that... but now he is on the hook for the $5K fee and he will be banned from BAT. And how do you fat finger when you are bidding mid-6 figures? Sloppy.

McLaren
Yeah, sounds like it was the same guy (from 18:07). "...led me to evacuate the car in a hurry..." Good lord

lol this aint happening. 992 gt3 is already at 250k, these at the beginning will be 300-350, at the end of the run, you can order or pick up sticker just like last time
The reality is if people don't think they can drive these for free and/or flip for a profit, the demand sinks significantly which I believe the writing is on the wall for already.
Add on this car is even more unusable than the 991.2 rs (I also ordered new)....These won't be very difficult to get an allocation on after initial deliveries...

250k is low end of 992 GT3 market now, they too were going for 100-200 over.
Many RS builds will sticker upper 200's and into the 300's.
300-350 would mean little to no upcharge. 992 Touring pricing.
992 RS probably isn't my cup of tea either, but that doesn't have bearing on what it would take to get one early on. There will be plenty of guys who want one at least as much as a Merc BS, Huracan STO, 488 Pista, etc.
Over the long-term, well into the production cycle, we'll see. Like I said, have a similar hunch on which RS will end up the more desirable, the better one to own & use.
Whether 992 RS ends up a world beater and exorbitantly priced or becomes recognized as GT division's first misstep in decades, all roads lead back to 991.2 RS being a good buy right now imo, which was my primary point.

I have to admit McLaren quality and last round of reviews is bothersome, however worst case scenario new car can be returned for full refund if they can’t fix repeated problems. This is also a 2nd car for me! A few buddies have McLarens and even with the faults, would not replace them because of the driving experience. Porsche GT are at a pinnacle regarding quality, however I am ready for a change and going in with eyes wide open and hoping for the best!

Enjoy it - I love McLarens but I've bitten the 911 bug and my financials keep me in that space vs the supercar game.
