And he is offering PAG a tax break if they move their production facilities to Detroit.

Hi guys. So is it possible to get a production allocation one can configure at this point? For MY2018 or 2019. Is it just wishful thinking?
I'm super late to the party here, I know. I didn't even have a new car on my radar until a few months ago. I narrowed it down to a car I now have on order, but I'm thinking the new GT3 is a better fit. I have absolutely zero history with Porsche. So I doubt most dealers would throw me a bone. Now I'm wondering if I should stick with the car I ordered or try to find a GT3. There are a few on lots around the country as I'm sure you all know. One or two come close to what I'd want. But the ADMs are a bit much, especially if I compromise on color and options. So I can A) give up on the other car and search for a GT3 allocation (and if I get an allocation, wait possibly 6 months to a year?), or B) compromise and get a GT3 off a lot that might not be my favorite color or interior options or C) just stick with the other car, which is a great one too and keep Porsche in mind the next time around. The more I look at the GT3, the more I want one. But I'm probably too late it seems.

So guys here is the deal as previously mentioned by Anthony aka Bluehorseshoe
Coming in this week at Auto Palace Porsche is a chalk GT3 msrp of 173.9K + taxes and fees and 10K ADM (firm) call 412.687.4000 x2207 ask for Jake Dunks-Campbell. I spoke to him and as previously mentioned a super nice guy. I tried to get him down on the ADM and he was very willing to try all the tricks with his GM but no go. The build is about 80% of what I wanted so I am going to hold out.
I may live in CT but I am a big fan of Pittsburgh and I really wanted this deal to happen as another excuse to visit that city again. Go Steelers!

I think standard is black. I got the standard ones and mine are black.

Yes, standard nipple color is matte black (polished aluminum on Touring).
Those things are such a waste. Can never figure out why anyone would want to highlight them in a deviated color. Best to simply try to hide them by pointing body-color. Easy enough to do later though.
