New GT3/GT2RS Leads With/Without ADM
#391
It could very well be the next set of allocations is focused on the big hitters dealers (which would be in line with C.J.'s statement that allocation is based on dealer size primarily - we know GT3 allocations are a function of 911 sales volume which is inherently linked to dealership size and market). Dealers likely know what they are getting for now. Beyond that, it's anyone's guess. Whatever decision Porsche has made to date is not necessarily etched in stone.

No MSRP deals available from what I can tell. $20k is out there, and I would say average. Of course they are asking more but I've found many willing to lower that to sell the car.

What's amazing to me is the with these nutso adm's on .2 GT3 puting a nicely optioned .2GT3 at around $200K and the soft prices of a nice RS around $220k on a $210K msrp RS why guys aren't snapping up those RS sitting sad and feeling forelorned for sale. Crazy. Comical really. Another example of blindly chasing the "latest and greatest".
Guys passing up these RS will look back in a year or so and kick themselves.

funny you mention C and C .....it’s crazy how 650S, GT3 RS, GT3, and many more have drifted because it’s not the shinny new toy. Hell the 720’s are like ok meh .....what’s next. The car game can be a bad drug happy if you want the new shiny object. Many cars have full clear bras for protection and were sold less than a year along with ceramic coating. A few stone chips builds character. (:

CJ,
I noticed you are flipping a "used" Lamborghini Centenario with only 47 miles for $3,500,000.
Could you tell me how much over MSRP that is?
Thanks.

If he buys it used are its consignment all bets are off. Anyone would know that. ADM on top of a brand new car is where the annoyance lies here. Seems like you have a problem with a legit dealer and real driver. If you represent a dealership, you're just making yourself look bad.

The thing I'm confused about here, and I am sure this has been raised before unbeknownst to me, is: Porsche has expressed their dissatisfaction with individuals purchasing cars and flipping them for a profit, however dealers are able to charge ADM without any actual limit. I understand this is largely a supply/demand proposition but it's hard for me to reconcile both making an argument against private parties flipping, but allowing ADM when ADM essentially drives up secondary market prices.

For the dealer, the question becomes, IMO, how can he (or she) get his ADM and avoid pi$$ing off good customers? Customers, for example, on his GT car wait list.
How about sending his new GT car allocation to another dealer, then "buying" it back as a "used car"? Hits his showroom floor with giganto ADM and provides the explanation - "Gee, I just bought this used 2018 GT3 with 18 miles on it from a private party and I paid a whole bunch for it ! But, don't worry, we're doing everything possible to get you your GT3 allocation."
There, everybody's happy.

Are you guaranteed the car from Porsche and can put pressure on dealer?

Just trying to figure out if I can twist their arm a bit.
