What ADM's are these actually selling for?

We see a lot of them sitting and not moving. Asking and what they're actually selling for are two different things. I would assume not to spec cars are even harder to get a premium for. I see a ceiling here. Lots of new GT3's for sale so early on with them just hitting the ground.

Hennessy in Georgia had a nice Touring listed but it's apparently sold. 167K list, no idea of sale price.

I'd say, on average, they're selling for $10-15k over, at the most. Of course, this may be a bit higher, say $20k in LaLa Land.

It's because, for $200K, most sane people would rather get a car spec'd exactly how they want it. Nobody wants to bend over for a car someone else spec'd with wonky options and then bailed on. There are two Chalk GT3s at local dealers to me. And a third arriving in a week. All three are fairly similar. But the ADMs are all over the place. One is at 25K, another is 40K, and the third is 30K. These dealers are all within an hour of each other. So why would someone pay 40K when the SAME exact car is 25K across town? I don't get it.

Tell that to the dealers asking 50K+ and they laugh. Someone will fork it over at some point.

Gentlemen - My sincere apologies for my irresponsible lapse in correspondence lately. I went out back to take a sh*t and the hogs started chasing me. Had to pull up my britches, run through the woods and jump into the pond until help arrived. Not exactly the way I wanted my holidays to go.

Martin - Thank you for inviting me back to the conversation. It's good to see you alive and kicking. The last we spoke, you were hanging upside down -- from a tree -- in a potato sack. Like Gilligan. Much to your chagrin, I believe that is the second time that's happened. By the way, have you asked Porsche North Houston if they utterly regret giving you a GT3 allocation yet? YOU made the decision to roll the bus over them, not me.

Let's move on to more pressing matters: It's interesting to me that you'd immediately suspect something might be amiss with CJ's listing of a GT3 at $25k over MSRP - and the two more he has inbound. Is it hypocrisy? Is CJ enabling the flipping of GT cars and the "over-MSRP mark-up system" that he openly criticizes around here? I would have assumed if CJ got the call to flip a GT3 for someone, he would have said: "Sorry, but I'm not going to enable and participate in the very same bull**it that I openly criticize PCNA and other dealers for."

Despite his outwardly claims, CJ is not angry with the principle of selling GT3's over MSRP. He's merely angry that PCNA only gave him two GT3's to distribute as he wished; now he has 35 deposits to refund which he should never have taken.

As I've stated before, I'm hopeful that we can have this contentious discussion without the conversation spiraling into the ditch. The other side of the courtroom has a right to be heard. Thus far, CJ and others have been able to lash out with impunity.

I sell other brands and sometimes those guys buy other brands and porsche. This thread is about available cars and I would definitely rather capture them if they are available.

I have been allocated 6 so far, and did not take 35 deposits. I only took about a dozen. These cars are not originally from my dealer as I stated. Some people do hit me up and say "hey guys I am late but I want one anyway" so there you go. Everyone still knows where I sit and I am still transparent.

What does "on average" ... "at the most" mean?

Correct. They laugh because, as has been documented on RL, many of them, including outside Cali, have already done better than "$10-15k over." And because they know spring is around the corner.

This same discussion comes up every time a new GT# car comes out. Why would dealerships keep asking for substantial ADMs if this approach doesn't lead to their financial benefit? It's not rocket science.

Yup. My dealer sat on two 2016 RS's forever, well into 2017, at what I thought were ridiculous ADMs ($90k over). At one point I was told around $50k over would get a deal done, still ridiculous in my mind, particularly as the months went by. Then they sold one at $75k over. Then a couple of months later they sold the other one at around the same. Seems they know their business.
