So, by this this logic, does it also mean that all changes to someone's builds should be made now? It sounds like that once PTS is approved (or denied) there will still be time before the order locks, and that would allow changes to be made.
I was told that there is no guarantee that there will be time to make changes to my order. The notion that there will be such time is based on a “courtesy call” that Porsche Exclusive here in USA is accustomed to getting from their contact in Germany for orders right after the PTS is approved and before they “order the paint for it”, which is the point of no return for the order, as it was explained to me. This courtesy call mechanism is not a formal required process, for example, if the person in Germany who normally does it is out sick or something when it happens for a particular order. But it’s been very reliable to date, I was told.
So, it would seem prudent to have your build the way you’d want it now just in case you don’t get a chance to change it before it locks.
And if you’d be personally devastated to find out your order for a winged GT3 with PTS has locked and you would have switched to Touring in a standard color if you’d had the chance, best not take that chance: switch to Touring now.
Where I laugh at all this though is the absurdity of “being devastated” if you get a PTS GT3.
I have a confirmed PTS order that is configureable. I'm considering selling it, but I would rather trade for a .2RS allocation as that is what I really want. Feel free to message me with interest.
I am a little confused. How can you sell an allocation? If I were a dealer, especially one of the good guys, i would definitely strip the allocation away and give it to one next on the list.
Any guess as to when these USA cars will move out of V180 status? Porsche is back from Vacation now, right?
Got a call from my dealer just now for my PTS manual car. Porsche called my GM to verify the order was ready to go, and they are locking it. Allegedly we will see V200 at any moment. I am not a VIP. I'll update the thread with any further info.

Nice, congrats....when you say that Porsche called your GM...do you mean someone from PCNA? or from PAG?

Awesome news! Congrats. Is your production month January or February?
