Small update - I cancelled my order. My car was approved for PTS (Arrow Blue), LTS (in Horizon Blue/Black 2-tone) and a few other CXX options (some custom interior lighting, decals etc, houndstooth).
My dealer decided to look for a premium on their GT2 RS allocation I had a deposit down for years on. Cancelled my GT3 and another car I had incoming.

Good guess!
Ugh- false alarm! It just makes the waiting seem longer somehow! I feel your pain...

Hello fellas
i have a May allocation with a June/July delivery, what are the chances I can get that as a PTS? My dealer will look into it & possibly make a request...going through this thread, makes me think I’m out of the time frame.
Thanks

I had one of the earliest allocations for a manual transmission - November build. I requested pts on the first day available and got on the v180 train. Build date moved to March. After a lot of thought, I decided to cancel the order and wait for the new RS.

NateOZ, sorry to hear that news. I am impressed with how you responded to the dealers money grab. To be able to treat this as a business transaction that must adhere to certain moral behavior rules and not get emotionally attached is impressive.
For those saying that the dealership will probably not feel this, of course they won't, but that is not the point. It sends a message. It tells others what your expectations are in a business relationship. These are the people that I prefer to deal with.
I wish I could be more emotionally detached when buying my toys. I am getting better at it as I get older, but unfortunately I have a long way to go. I wish more would respond this way. Congrats and good hunting.

After reviewing this thread, can someone explain to me why Porsche AG failed to be able to simply buy Volkswagen AG? They seem to have deep pockets.
