Adding my PTS order to list
Signal Green, buckets, full leather, CF, lift and a few more bits.
Status v180, then notified the build will be unlocked for my SA. Not sure what that means but I imagine I'm in limbo like everyone else.

It is a very good result with so many out in the marketplace not getting a car. I had a full second spec/build ready to go as backup if was not lucky about the PTS.

I thought my SA was blowing sunshine my way. He told me that their dealership submitted five PTS orders. One being a VIP.
Mine was the only one approved.
Reading your post makes me feel more greatful.
i guess I owe my SA an apology for saying
"BS" to his comment

It's true Mike, and my order was the only one at my dealer too it seems!

Our dealership got 3 allocations and all three requested PTS and we are all in the V180 limbo. Not sure if any of the 3 is VIP. I will ask next time I talk to SA.

Our largest regional dealer in Oregon received 6 (IIRC), of which I think there are no PTS orders.
Of course my little Bend dealership has only one GT3 non-VIP customer in the first round, Me, that is PTS.

Sorry guys I haven't read the whole thread, but maybe someone can indulge me with a quick answer.
I have a manual allocation with a 5/18 production date and have put in for PTS. What would be the approximate cutoff date that I would have to hear by so that I don't lose my existing production slot?
Basically I would like to have PTS but not if it's going to delay my car by months, so I'm trying to figure out what is a realistic time frame to get a definitive answer from request to acceptance/denial.
Thanks

Based on some info from this thread and talking to some other GT3 buyers, you're probably on the outside looking in for PTS. Who really knows though until all of us early allocations start getting approved or denied. Good luck!

Just for reference, do you know how many GT3 allocations they received in the first round?

I have never heard of such a high figure!
But that means nothing...I am not privy
to that kind of information & PAG seldom
let's anyone know exact PTS figures. But
I find those 'facts' surprising!...
So Andre, please let me know the source(s)
for that information on PTS .1 991 gt3s that
you posted. If it's indeed 'fact', I do want to
know how it's documented.

There are NO 'facts' here, Andre! You
are basing your entire premise on Loess's
undocumented/un-sourced posts...and making
it worse by you mixing up PTS .1 991 gt3 with
PTS .2 991 gt3 RS numbers? This is all very
dissappointing to hear!

I am all for clarity & transparency in the PTS
process at PAG. But I would counsel that we
get our 'facts' clearly established & sourced
correctly (verified) before making assumptions
that might not be helpful or useful to a Rennlist
forum on this subject. I mostly blame PAG &
PCNA for creating this 'opaque', 'delayed' &
'confusing' process for determining PTS on the
.2 991 gt3. But we all need to exercise caution
here when discussing these matters & proclaiming
as 'facts' numbers that are not yet properly
vetted
& confirmed by Porsche!

Well- I was tired when I posted yesterday from
traveling all day, so saying FACT, was probably
a little much. So my appologies, I have cited
my references here and I have been as transparent
as I can be. Loess had some pretty detailed numbers,
so I've used them as is. In the past others have gotten
some really detailed PCNA information from inside
somehow, I just assumed this was the case with Loess.
As far as mixing RS and GT3 I don't think the factory
makes a distinction, but as we have said before, how
would I know. At the same time conversely why would
they make a distinction. Aren't all GT cars special and
somewhat limited (not talking about 911R's here)?
Anyways, this is all pointless arguments when nobody
knows what is really going on in the inner workings at
PAG PTS production. I think it's down to PAG shop floor
supervisors and managers making the decisions and
who knows why!

You must have missed my post on the .1 991 gt3
'stop sale', the '15 pts moratorium, the quality control
issues that popped up, the 30 PTS late production '15
gt3 (in three test colors to check if QC was acceptable)
& that there was no PTS in '16 for the last .1 991 gt3s.
And that the .1 991 gt3 RS run did benefit from whatever
improvements were made on the PTS process after the
moratorium.
But we don't know if we can take the example set by
the many PTS '16 .1 991 gt3 RS as a useful illustration
to extrapolate that is how we will see PTS in the .2 991
gt3!
You can...but I wouldn't.
Nonsense by whom? Before you started keeping this
list, Andre, many of us here have been trying to figure
out a pattern of how PTS works at PAG & have been
documenting/clarifying 'it' at our forums so that readers
of Rennlist (if they so choose) can best take advantage
of this rare option. I have tried to play a constructive
part in all of this effort. And I hope some appreciate it.
And I don't consider it 'nonsense'!

Boy, my poor choice of words has not been good
with you, that's for sure! Fixed it to hopefully make
my intent clearer. Sorry you took offense. We have
a solid friendship, so I know you know that I respect
everything you do here, my occasional bad choice of
words not withstanding! (And I lived with a approved,
then rejected PTS order in 2015 for my GT3, LOL!!!
I love your passion Eduardo!!)
So I know you don't like Pinot's like Karen, but I will
double down, so to speak, with a nice 12 Pinot for
Karen and a nice Dunham Cellars Cabernet for you
if I loose our bet!

this subject matter because I have worked hard over
the years to bring as much light as possible on this
'dark' & 'opaque' world of PTS at Porsche. Thank you
for the 'double down' with the 12 Pinot & Dunham
Cellars Cabernet. Frankly, I am hoping I never win
this bet! And we very much looking forward to your
visit to our home in Scottsdale this winter!
I continue to think it is way past due that PCNA is
frank with their US customers & reveals what they
know about the PTS requests they have made on
behalf of their customers to PAG. It seems incredible
to me, when PAG has apparently every .2 991 gt3
allocated & calculated built dates all the way to Nov
/Dec 2018 in their elaborate just-in-time logistic
system, that PCNA would not be told as of this late
date (Sept 23rd, 2017) of their US PTS slots granted
by PAG within that total allocation. Something is not
right with this picture! PAG knows exactly by now how
many PTS slots they are willing to do for the balance of
.2 991 gt3 production. And it's high time somebody
tells you (those on the request list & suffering in limbo
with V170/180 status) where you all stand!
