Aren't all GT cars special and somewhat limited
(not talking about 911R's here)?
You must have missed my post on the .1 991 gt3
'stop sale', the '15 pts moratorium, the quality control
issues that popped up, the 30 PTS late production '15
gt3 (in three test colors to check if QC was acceptable)
& that there was no PTS in '16 for the last .1 991 gt3s.
And that the .1 991 gt3 RS run did benefit from whatever
improvements were made on the PTS process after the
moratorium.

But we don't know if we can take the example set by
the many PTS '16 .1 991 gt3 RS as a useful illustration
to extrapolate that is how we will see PTS in the .2 991
gt3!

You can...but I wouldn't.

Nonsense by whom? Before you started keeping this list,
Andre, many of us here have been trying to figure out a
pattern of how PTS works at PAG & have been documenting/
clarifying 'it' at our forums so that readers of Rennlist
(if they so choose) can best take advantage of this rare
option. I have tried to play a constructive part in all of
this effort. And I hope some appreciate it. And I don't
consider it 'nonsense'!

Viola Metallic / black wheels / red calipers
Full alcantara interior red stitchings + 918 bucket seats with red stripes + carbon fiber package
Clubsport
Carbon fiber gear shifter ( CXX ) + other Porsche Exclusive interior options
Delivery: France
Manual
March ( latest )

Almost went for CXX to switch the stitchings' color from red to black and only keep the red stripe but...it's a 6k€ extra.
Will be my first Porsche. Feeling super lucky with my GT3 allocation and blessed with my PTS confirmed order!

I'm actually automotive photographer + car journalist so I got to meet some Porsche Exclusive people during the IAA press days in Frankfurt.
I just asked if there was any chance to get rid of the aluminum gear **** and get something either black or in carbon fiber since my specs are rather dark. A few days later I got an email offering >>>

Gear Shift lever personalised: Alcantara Black, stitching Guards Red
Trim: Carbon
Price: 615,00 EUR + VAT

-----

Porsche Code >>> PJHVADE0 ( but order is locked and the dedicated Porsche Code page won't open since the PTS order redirects me to a 404 ERROR form )

-----

Thank you SPORTSCENTURY for the kind words

it should look great, not sure why they dont have CF shifter/e-brake as a regular option on the configurator, they did in past models...

PTS is cancelled for me. Could not get a PTS standard GT3 with manual slot anytime soon before maybe late next year. Going touring and consistent with comments on here, there is no PTS with touring and if it was, would "guess" very much towards end of GT3 run.

Ill leave my PTS dream for something else.

PS, one thing with this PTS and CXX and what a PITA it is, only reinforces my reaction to go basic and do anything individual / unique with aftermarket guys. Less $ in Porsche coffers but they don't want my $ anyways.

Yes, nice post!!! I'm a little envious of your build to be honest, really going to come out nicely! You are on the list!

Boy, my poor choice of words has not been good with you, that's for sure! Fixed it to hopefully make my intent clearer. Sorry you took offense. We have a solid friendship, so I know you know that I respect everything you do here, my occasional bad choice of words not withstanding! (And I lived with a approved, then rejected PTS order in 2015 for my GT3, LOL!!! I love your passion Eduardo!!)

So I know you don't like Pinot's like Karen, but I will double down, so to speak, with a nice 12 Pinot for Karen and a nice Dunham Cellars Cabernet for you if I loose our bet!

so I'm curious as to how this was communicated to you; you have an allocation? for which you requested PTS, and this was declined, what geo/country are you in?

In Australia. Across the country I understand (confirmed few different sources) we have had five allocations for PTS but all went to PDK about a month ago when none of us could lock in a manual. So was either go PDK with PTS or wait. Since then no further PTS allocations and confirmation the touring pack was a no go as well. So to be clear I cancelled my PTS request as porsche could not confirm I could get a car with a manual and also PTS. The risk is, that as I wait in line for the PTS spot to open up, others jump ahead and the dealer has a limited amount of allocations, so could end up missing out on a vehicle all together or next best still be waiting for a car next late next year.
I really wanted PTS but the unknown, the chopping and changing and just simply being a PITA to order balanced up against just getting a car and getting out and driving (I'm in a 997 GT3 and 911 50th atm) weighed more strongly. For me this was a car i ordered in 2015... some say whats another year, but to be honest, bit over it.
