Maybe we have to wait until after the Frankfurt show for movement on PTS...

For anyone here who was planning / hoping for the Touring Package, which was finally announced today, I have it from Porsche directly that PTS will NOT be available in combination with it.

At this point VIP's should all be approved. If you know of one on the list, or you are one, send me the latest info so I can update the list.
The rest of us- keep checking!

I had a quick stop at my dealer today to finalize paperwork. So I am at V200 now with a March 2018 build date. Plan is to pick it up at the Leipzig factory/experience center.
As far as I understood from my exclusive consultant, the build might be open for change of the PTS color up to December, but with no guarantee... so you never know...

Hmmm, what does this say for the rest of us? Beoliving just put his PTS order in, from his dealer in Germany. To me this says:
- ZPT orders are being batched. Otherwise we would see someone on the list other than VIP have some sort of movement by now.
-Capacity is there, or how else can you explain an order put in a few weeks ago goes to V200 for March production? If they are poised to reject half or more of our ZPT orders this would stand out like a red herring.
Just something else to think about while we wait!

See my comments in 'red':
Hoping for the best...but I remain cautious!

PS The 'Manischewitz' wager is still undecided!
Great! Congratulations, you are one of the last
on the list but one of the first to be approved!
Hmmm, what does this say for the rest of us?
Probably nothing much! The Porsche dealers in
Germany, Canada, Australia, the Middle East &
perhaps all other markets have been already
told their country's PTS slots for the .2 991 gt3.
So filling a PTS slot for a well-connected German
customer like beoliving that probably had his
.2 gt3 allocation all worked out way in advance
from his German dealer is not surprising.
The difference here is that PCNA claims they don't
know yet for sure what the number of PTS slots
is approved for the US market. And that is why
EVERYONE that requested PTS for their .2 991
gt3 is now in V180 'LIMBO'. No one has been
rejected (yet), which is surprising if you know
how PAG has handled PTS historically! Remember,
the whole continent of Australia was reportedly
given ONLY five PTS slots for the .2 991 gt3. So
that doesn't 'speak to me' as the 'brave new world'
of PTS-on-demand at PAG as some claim or hope!

Not necessarily. If these countries knew their
PTS slots (quota) in advance (as did Australia,
Canada, Middle East, etc), an order could go to
V200+ status as a fairly routine process if there
were PTS slots still available for that market (e.g.
allocated already to the dealer & dealer decides
later who gets the PTS slot)!
Just something else to think about while we wait!
Perhaps!
