On my fifth day of ownership, my 2014 Cayman S and I got entertainingly lost in the hills between Murrieta and Fallbrook in S. California. There are some nice roads, and very little traffic among the avocado orchards in those parts. There were a couple of unexpected concrete barriers blocking the roads, which the nav system could not hack because they were not in its map. At one point it tried to get me to follow a dirt road, which it evidently thought was tarmac, but there was no way I was taking my new car into that.... Eventually I didn't make to Fallbrook and turned back to go home another way. A very enjoyable afternoon getting to know my first Porsche.

Mt. Palomar is on my list. We did it in my wife's Honda CR-V a few months back but I think there is more to be experienced there now in this thing...

Engine bay detail. First time I’ve had a peek in there.

Had the tires road force balanced. Fronts were out of spec. Anybody on the fence about having this done JUST DO IT. Highly recommend

Finally got around to installing radiator grills from RGS in my 987.2 Boxster. Looks great and pretty easy too.
I also found a pretty effective way to clean the debris out of area in front of the radiators. Went to Lowe’s and bought 2 feet of 1 inch flexible hose. Duct taped it to the end of my shop vac hose. Worked like a charm. Very easy to get it down into the bottom and back corner of the radiator area.

Spent part of last weekend wiping down the Spyder wheels and Wheel Wells. I hadn’t used a wheel cleaner on the wheels in in a couple of years, they definitely needed an iron deposit removal. Here’s some after shots of the wheel wells and clean wheel.

Anyone ever find a perfect-match touchup paint for the 987.2 Spyder wheels?

Added an Oil Catch Can between the AOS and the intake. Just tired of the buildup of oil in the intake, although not much, still annoying.
