in addition to top down driving, I've been taking drives with the sun shield in place, the wind stop and weather protector not in use and windows fully open, I must say it's a very enjoyable drive, plenty of wind and air and some glorious exhaust notes make this configuration worth a try every now and then

I do the sunshade a lot. Sun is just incredibly intense at altitude. I haven’t removed the wind deflector though....need to try that.
WAILN6, yes I did a drive with the windstop in place and then without, significant difference, the windstop will not be returning in this configuration
Replaced the pork-chops (the stone guard in front of the rear wheels) - went with black just because I wanted to see how it looked. Old ones were discolored and stained around the edges.. would be OK on a dark color, but on white it stood out like a sore thumb.
Finally completed the entire Angelus Crest HWY 2 scenic drive in the drop-top (5hr roundtrip), and could NOT have asked for a better day!
Luckily Mountain High Resort had a large sign at main road saying "Beer & Pizza," and that required an immediate U-Turn!
Only had one motorcycle accident hold us up approx 15 min, and luckily we saw that fella walk away despite the bike looking trashed.
My last venture this way was in the 981 GT4, and Newcomb's Ranch was still open: not this time, and that sucks.
My last ride there was on 2 wheels about 3 years ago - only took about 3,000 miles to get there.
i know where Rancho Cal is obviously since I live here, but I'm asking what twistie road he's talking about from Clinton Kieth to Rancho?
I don't think that's the part of the road he is talking about.... I see the one he might be talking about that goes through DeLuz...Imma have to check that out...matter of fact I'm gonna go check it out in about the next 20 minutes lol
Just wondering what post he was replying to also...kinda out of the blue?
I usual like to take Rainbow canyon to Rice Canyon to Palomar for some real twisties

Thought my post would have link to the thread but it didn't.
Anyway the road I am referring to goes from Clinton Keith by La Cresta into De Luz to Rancho Cal rd. Couple of straights and winding roads, not long but fun and you can get lost back there. Use to run my M3 there but sold that and now run my Cayman S there. Way much more fun!
Have not done my car in Rice Canyon yet, Though have used that road for cutting the 15 in heavy traffic!
