Installed the Rennline mesh inserts for my radiator intakes. Install was straight forward. Worst part was bumper removal, but even that wasn't so bad if you go slow. Fit was good with just a little minor trimming required. Finished product looks factory. Very happy so far.

Drove it, er, ah, rather briskly...

The roar of the flat six, as you crack off redline shifts on your way to... er, ah, briskly. That's all I'll say.

when I posted on the thread earlier I saw a post of someone vacuuming out the front air vents - I figured why not - and to my surprise I found a bird!

Default Scratching an itch

Coronavirus lock down has a lot to answer for, what started as a yearly oil & filter and corroded exh Manifold to Cat nuts has morphed into Rear main and IMS seals, clutch, flywheel, gear change cables replacement and Cruise control install. Some scary and funny moments along the way, many snapped bolts broken drills, special tools created and lots learned. Hours spent staring at it building up courage to take the next step. On Friday the IMS ‘O’ ring finally arrived so everything went back in over the weekend. Lot easier then getting it out. Just waiting now for cruise control cable and screws from Design911. Snapped manifold bolt to drill out and gear oil to change.

It’s out and the clutch and flywheel are ready. Wallet is seriously depleted.

Routing these was a pain. Battery main lead feeds through the middle of the cables. The only way to get them out was unhook the battery cable or cut the old gear shift cables and reroute the battery main around the gear cables.

Serious polishing going on.

The gear change cable mounts and linkage de-rusted and painted. The cable mount was so bad that I broke the cable outer plastic trying to separate them, hence the new cables.

Scraped it coming out of the driveway yesterday, it's one of those things that was going to happen sooner or later but I'm super annoyed with myself right now.

What started yesterday, ended today. Gave my car a bath yesterday, then clay barred and waxed the car today.

Installed some fabspeed catless headers on the spyder. Did spark plugs and air-filter while I was in there.
