Finally changed the climate control sliders (thank you at all the YouTube guides out there). Turned out to be easier than I thought.

Yes, it was the one tired interior item. The rest is still in great shape. All better now.

Not all today, but been a busy week or two.

Replaced the starter which is a job I hope I never need to again.

Resolved (hopefully) an oil leak from the plenum.

Installed a new driver's door handle piece to fix the flopping lever.

And cleaned the seats with Chemical Guys leather cleaner and horse hair brush. Was very, very pleased with that product as the 130k previous miles really had the seats looking worn. The perforations were completely gunked up making the black seats look kinda gross. Without too much hassle they look good as new now.

Couple jobs to go still....

Simple wash and wax here. Cleans up pretty good at 113k miles, 17 years, and lots of Chicago weather. ☺️

Slow day…installed my ProClip phone mount and drove a clean car attempting to dodge various nuisance rainstorms.

This week:
Had PPF installed on the hood and front fenders. The bumper, headlights and mirrors already had PPF on them.
Had the car ceramic coated.
Installed a ProClip phone mount.
Swapped brake pads to Porterfield R4 track pads.
Brake fluid flush with Castrol SRF.
Oil Change.

@CAinCA Welcome to the ProClip club. Beautiful car. I really regret not ppf’ing my front bumper when I got a new one a few years back.

Loud bang when putting the top down today. Wasn’t alarmed, been to this rodeo before and since keep a pair of these in the glove box. Last change was probably 60k miles and 5+ years ago. And many open / close cycles.

End ball cap from top pushrod. They will eventually break.

I've got a spare in my glovebox just in-case! Thankfully it's a really easy fix that can be done 'in the field'..

Installed some Numeric pedals and a wooden shift ****. Found out that apparently the shaft on the Numeric shifter is slightly bigger than a stock one. The **** test fit fine on my old SSK, but wouldn't go on the Numeric. Had to remove some material with a sanding drum to make it fit.
