Default New custom wheel from AliExpress

I couldn't find a newer wheel in sand beige and didn't want to spend $1500 so ultimately did some research and took the plunge with AliExpress. 10 days production. 14 days shipping. Fit and finish are absolutely fantastic, near OEM basically. Not an exact match for Sand Beige but I'd say close enough. $680 shipped... so much cheaper than buying stateside, especially since they'd just be getting it from the same Chinese factory. Next up I'm wrapping some of the dash trim that goes across the cupholders to add a bit more CF.

Looks good. I have the same dilemma and have been considering Vivid racing for doing pretty much the same wheel you have here. Other alternative is Royal (I think that’s the name) in the UK, which is just leather, but a lot less expensive.

Nope! That's why I preferred it to vivid etc because they require a core. I'd rather keep the wheel and turn the car stock when I sell it, to offload the wheel in the classifieds.

I wonder how they get the steering wheels, lol, but I like that method too, last thing you want to do is send your steering wheel in to some company and than never get it back.

I'm guessing junk yards? He happened to have a Sand beige 987 wheel in stock so they finished production super fast.

Too early to tell. I only got a quick drive in. The wheel is thicker than stock which is obviously intended. The carbon parts take some time to get used to because they're smooth. I like it overall. The original wheel is like driving a school bus. This feels much more sporty and intentional.

Update from yesterday. Wrapped some of the dash trim and door handles with vivid epoxy carbon fiber to pull in some of the wheel carbon. I think it's just enough.
