Top of the Corkscrew.

Got out for a track day with the Golden Gate Lotus Club. I learned a ton.

Jealous, here in Michigan it's veering between snowstorm and 15 degrees.
I've been a member of the local Lotus Club for many years, since I tracked an Elise, and our track weekends are usually great. So many guys have essentially dedicated race cars, or tricked out Lotuses, a Vette or two, caged and stripped E46s, you name it. I take the Cayman R to that and don't bother running with the fastest group, I'd be 5 seconds a lap slower than most. And I can get the R going pretty OK after 15 years of doing this.
Glad a Boxster gets a workout!

Replaced base steering wheel with the sport one. Both feels and looks nicer.

First AX of the season! I’m not overly fast but I did have fun…

Added Jam Handles that I got from Craven Speed (https://www.cravenspeed.com/2011-252/) to the doors. Keeps the door handles fingerprint-free when closing them, after a wash/detail.

Test fitting a Getty Design ducktail. Fits really good.
Goes in for paint next week.

Not sure what to do with the stack actuators. The install instructions are terrible.
I’ll figure something out.

The whole wing actuator assembly will need to be removed, which it looks like you did and then you’ll have to find someone to disable the signal or you’ll get the chime at 75mph… I’ve heard from a few guys Getty isn’t real good at explanations

Replaced the rotors with Sebro slotted, new pads, and new struts for the rear deck lid. Brake job was about the easiest I have ever done on any car. I think the old rotors were original and had 115K miles on them. 55K from me. Braking is much better now.

Yep, there's even a YouTube video of someone changing the pads without removing even the wheels lol. Makes these cars great for swapping out pads for track weekends, then popping the street pads back in.

I saw that. If you have wide enough openings on your wheels, it can be done.

Updated the license plate lights to LED by ordering 2x 1K8943021C from the dealer. These are from the 991 but will bolt on perfectly. It's a factory VW/Porsche part so it's 100% OEM. Not cheap but they're not poorly made amazon/fleabay LEDs that are either way too bright or burns out due to poor soldering.

Used the instruction guide here:

I bought the kit from Amazon and it worked perfectly - $21 for 14 different LEDs. I'd imagine you could buy this entire kit for less than the 2 bulbs you bought.

Amazon Amazon

Sometimes it's not worth paying absurd Porsche tax on everything...
