I’m liking the Amazon Green color more and more.

Does anyone have any history or “issues” with this C2?

This cars been on the market a long long time for a 964 and on many different websites. I think it was discussed here several months ago. Price seems pretty high for an okay car these days. Market has cooled.

Wow, that car is beautiful. I know Tim Holt for many years. He's about the only guy in the 911 business I would buy a car sight unseen from. He's been in the business a long long time and he's about as good as it gets as far as people and dealers in the 911 business go. To be transparent, I have bought cars from him, I have sent friends and even family members to buy cars from him. He's been kind enough to let me pick his brain on his vast knowledge of the 911 market over the years without hesitation and when there is nothing in it for him.

Even though I already said you don't need to see the car to buy one from Tim, I live only 10 miles from his place and would be happy to go put some eyes on the car if someone is interested.

Default Any insight on this 964 C4?

Hi Everyone,

New to the forum (and P-cars) but came across this. Love the color combo. Does anyone know about this C4 or RMC in general?

Love the color. The price is a joke. I would also suggest that you do your research on RMC and understand what you're getting into. Not saying you can't buy from them but proceed with caution. Their description is wrong. Its more like a 4 owner car not a two and its changed hands a couple times in the last two years without being driven more than a few hundred miles. For $76k with over 100k on the car they can keep it, and they probably will for a long long time unless they get more realistic with the price.

I think that car has been discussed on this thread. Do a little research, there was one Tahoe blue 964 that was hit in the rear and then misrepresented by the seller. This could be the one.

That car was at RMC they sold it to Abreu and the car is still listed for sale at Abreu. The one now at RMC is a different car.

I was thinking the same thing. No pictures of the engine so it is hard to say and being a 92 it should have crinkle paint under the front hood and this has smooth paint they didn't start doing until late 93-94. I would suspect that the hood was replaced or at a minimum stripped and painted warranting further investigation.

Are you seeing signs of it cooling? I still have a lot of people looking willing to pay up for nice examples but are getting frustrated with the rash of junk that has been on the market or excessively high asking prices for less than perfect cars. I suspect the Amazon car has had a full respray but can't say for sure without better pictures. People don't mind if a car was painted if it is disclosed up front.

The Holt car is a beauty only one or two minor things I see and easily remedied. He always has nice stuff.

Holt car might have come from Florida. I think I took pictures of it in Tampa.

Mediocre cars seem to be cooling but solid cars - even well maintained drivers do not seemed to have changed much.

Anyone interested in the Horizon Blue car at Holt should give Tim a call. I noticed a couple of things prior to calling and he confirmed them without me asking during the conversation. I was pleasantly surprised with his willingness to share information about the car and its history.

As always thanks for the kind words folks!
Looking like the horizon car is going to a very special collection in the mid-west (currently its more of a personal museum from what I gather).
We've sold them some amazing cars over the past few years and there was talks of actually opening it to the public but not exactly sure where they're at with that plan yet.
Anyone locals heading to the the radnor concours? If I don't see ya there, or you're not local, have a great weekend everyone!

I don't think there is any question the market is cooling, especially for driver condition cars. I know of a couple 964 coupes which were strictly driver condition cars, not bad but really not turnkey car that have sold in the low $40's.
