Its a 27 year old car. Even a nice one is going to need a suspension refresh.

As to suspension (and change of ownership in general), always expect to put a couple extra thousand into a "new to you" car. My car was delivered in crazy good condition, but I still found a way to spend an additional $3,000+ once it arrived.

Good luck getting 97 grand for a modded, no heat, repainted car. What other stories will we dig up in this one.

Looks pretty sorted and clean. If this car is fetching $69k I assume they can sell it in the upper $80s.

I agree it looks fairly well sorted.... No cats rules out a Cali buyer, no heat rules out another market segment.

I am very surprised that the silver car on BaT went for that much. Tarek's red C2 was bid to just low $50's and didn't sell on BaT.

Not sure you can compare the two. A pristinely clean rare color combo low mile 93 with some interesting mods vs a heavily used high mile (suspect it has more than indicated) silver witch was clearly tracked extensively.

The old mountings for the harnesses, a bolt in roll cage with the rear roll bar section retained. No doubt if you pull up the carpet on either side of the seats you will see where the rest of the cage was attached. Suspension, seats sway bars etc are so typical of a car that was both street and track driven. What is going on with the underside makes me throw up red flags.

The Amethyst car is immaculately clean and a better example in every respect. I wish them luck but I think it won't sell for so much but they will get close.

That Amethyst car is interesting. I hope they documented the repaint process. I would have thought they would have posted pictures of it in bare metal if thats what they really did. Its interesting they decided to modify it considering how pristine the rest of it was. I am sure I'd enjoy it more the way they did it. The work just doesn't seem to be something that increases the value as much as it costs to do.

No heat, mods that not everyone will want, total repaint with so few miles, no cats.

Unfortunately all of that does not equal 90 grand right now.

Cool exterior color ... interior color would wear me out after a short while.
I dont think 90k is too far off though, if not higher.

If it was bone stock with docs I think 90s could be in the cards. Not the way the car is now.

Any thoughts on this car: https://newyork.craigslist.org/lgi/c...685050066.html

Not clear if it's a re-built motor although it sounds like a brand new 'crate' motor?

Looks nice. Price is a stretch. It's at RMC .... you'd better go see it for yourself. Not a place I'd buy sight unseen from, and i would not trust some of the local PPI places they suggest either.
