Any thoughts on this car: https://newyork.craigslist.org/lgi/c...685050066.html
Not clear if it's a re-built motor although it sounds like a brand new 'crate' motor?

For future reference. Any 964 offered in South Florida, I would only trust Gulf Performance in Pompano Beach for a PPI. This is where I service my C4 and they do an excellent job. Happy Hunting..

Knowing nothing about 965s, can someone elaborate if this example is worth even near what they are asking? I thought a low mileage 993 Turbo S which can be found for half of that or up to $600K was the holy grail but this 94 Turbo takes it to another level.
Thanks!
Thanks!

LOL
Yes there were 17 94 turbo S "Package" cars made in total 15 came to the US and 2 to Canada. Not the ultimate 964 turbo but definitely a rare car. I prefer them to the turbo S flachbau which have seen between $850k and $1.2M. The 3.8 RS/RSR possibly the C4 lightweights and the 92 turbo S lightweights command the most approaching close to $2M for some examples.
Mark Smith does a great job cataloging these here www.flachbau.com
Although production numbers have a lot to do with selling price there are many things that make one car worth/sell for more than another. By all rights the Japanese 94 TurboS should sell for more because of rarity they don't seem to catch the collectors attention as much. 6370 miles doesn't hurt this one. So long as it checks out and has all its pedigree it will find an owner at this price.

The package car was the ultimate Porsche for me. 15 years ago I balked at buying one in the $200's. I just thought that was too high a premium. Guess I was wrong. I don't care for the flachbau version.

Hind sight
I too passed on a turbo S as well for less. The package car is the best of the 94 Turbos.

This is a fully done car if you like the build it is a needs nothing car. The question should be is how good is the quality of the work? It looks quite good although a few minor mistakes like it is wearing the early rear tail light seals which I would ditch and they are using Adrian's numbers of 520 when there were actually 60 less 93 coupes imported.
Looks like a nice car if all checks out.
