Never thought about checking eBay Canada... With the 12% exchange, 6%.1% duty and 15% tax (depends on province), the US cars are pretty much all too expensive nowadays.

Well, the asking prices sure seem to have gone up. Take a look at
this low mileage one.

Exactly why I jumped when I found a 993 C4S locally that ticked all my check boxes.

That black one in Montreal has been on the market at least 5 months now on Autotrader.ca

Here is a silver 90 C2 manual coupe, 159kms $36,900. Been on the market for months as well. If they wait long enough it may sell.

Anyone know why this car hasn't sold? It's been on the market for at least a month now and give. How quickly 964s have sold recently, I'm surprised its still on the market. The price doesn't seem too outrageous. I'm not interested in a black car which is why I'm not moving on it.

At the exact same time, they had a much lower miles 1993 for the same price... I think they "burnt" that listing asking the same price for a car older and with twice the mileage

Otherwise there must be something with the car.

My thoughts are that the market isn't quite willing to pay high 30s for 964 C2 coupes. It wasn't long ago I was looking at 3 local C2s that were in the 25k range and were on the market from November to January.

1992+ LOW mileage ones are fetching almost $40k or even slightly more (from the last few that have sold)

But I think high mileage, >1991 have a much harder time getting the same prices.

I agree. 92 93 and 94 MY C2 manual coupes have no issues getting 40K. Not nearly as easy for a high mileage MY 90 and 91. Should be low to mid 30s

Come Guys, this is £20k Sterling reasonable mileage, Recaro's.
Admittedly not very good photos, but someone locally needs to get down there and report back on this car.
This, in the current market is not an expensive car.
If it's been for sale for 5 months, why?

I know they never look as good in the flesh so to speak as they do in the photos. I had a GP white car PPI'd from GR, look great in them photos but needed a fair bit of work and maybe that's the story for this and the Canadian car.
When dealers are asking this kind of money, buyers are expecting to buy a car with all the issues already sorted, they don't expect to spend another 20-25% more on oil leaks etc.
But, by European standards, they are not expensive cars.

Yeah, I was assuming that there must be something wrong with the car which is why it wasn't moving. Having been in the market for a nice 964, I feel like a 72k mile 1990 c2 coupe in decent mechanical and visual condition with a very safe black/black color combination should be highly desirable at around $35k.
