I get the affection for the RSA however I personally need power steering and when we talk RSA's unless it is a non sunroof car I don't see the point. A good C2 for less and customize it is my approach. I added the RSA wing and removed my sunroof so it does the same thing for me. I will comment that my C2 has option 220 and the old ZF LSD's weren't anything special. The later units used on the 993 are more substantial and can be converted to a multi disc setup unlike the single friction disc of the 40/40 unit. Mine wore out at 50k miles. Easy enough to rebuild but it is only good for spirited street driving.
Does singer 0 out their speedo? I never looked.

I debated the ODO reset after my resto but left it at the original mileage. Happy that I did that in hindsight.

I do not think that you can legally do that no. Certainly not in France where my 964 is.

Many feel the same as you - I'm a modder at heart and this RSA is killing me right now as I want to do my normal build thing but then, to your point, why not just a C2? All specialty models can be duplicated or at least people can take their favorite parts from them. Even the row RS can be (and has been on some of the great builds I've seen here) duplicated and exceeded. Personally, I cant see paying even a $50k upcharge for a row RS car - certainly not $200k over a C2.

Flachbau package car at Marshall Goldman in Beverly Hills. Lots of Sonderwunsch options in it too.
price on inquiry but any guesses what it’s going for?

Why woudn't fix the frown on the front end. Even my C2 looks better and it has 135K miles and lots of track time on it.

They bought it for $995k end of last year. Car was involved in a accident in the mid 2000’s. Cincinnati police reported a right side impact with another vehicle. Incident shows up on the Autocheck report, but for some reason Carfax missed it.

I'm always impressed by how much you (and cobalt) know about all the cars trading and their histories.
That description at Sotheby's omits the impact (instead talking about preservation of all paintwork or some such). I also loved how they called it a G series Turbo too. You think they would take a little more caution on a million dollar car.

Thoughts from the experts on this Ruby 964 RS on BAT?

Nice car, still don't understand BAT and the peanut gallery. I think I'd rather lose money that deal with half of the questions/posts. And I'll never get P car people and their obsession with colors.

RNM at 270k high bid. Honestly for a car with that much paintwork and high miles (for an RS), I thought that number was generous. Not sure what the seller thinks he can get out of it, but I don't think the market is willing to pay big money for non-collector examples right now.
