How much electrical power can the ecu give to the fuel pump? The fuel pump I need requires a little more juice than the bosh 044. I would need something that can flow over 74gph at 58 psi. I was thinking of running something like the holley dominators. Its 2 pumps in one housing. one pump is used for cruising and the second turns on under load. Would it be compatible? I'm also open to suggestions.

Thanks
We are actually pulling power from the relay that comes in the PE harness. The 044 runs about 15 amps and that isn’t an issue. I’d have to check the relay to see what it can handle but you can always bypass that one and run multiple for whatever you need.

I took a chance and got the 0280158040 injectors from here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/16381696451...4AAOSwza9gBuE9 Cheap, pretty fast shipping, and they are genuine!

I got these top hats with filters to extend them to standard (48mm) length: https://www.ebay.com/itm/12342057078...IAAOSwiqdbwBJa

One thing to confirm is the spray pattern. If they are the dual pattern like the 911 turbo injectors you will need to clock them different from what the factory rail allows. The IE rail lets you clock however you want. Just a PSA.

They are conical spray according to the Bosch spec sheet: https://www.bosch-motorsport.com/con...alve_EV_14.pdf

Edit: Also, EV14 doesn't designate connector type, you can get EV14 injectors with various connector types. 0280158040 injectors use TE/AMP Junior Power Timer connectors. Stock 07K injectors are Sumitomo I think.

Sorry, the harness uses the stock 07K connectors. You are correct in that they are Sumitomo.

Have you had a chance to test them out? At that price it looks almost too good to be true!

Also would this work to connect it to the pe wiring harness?

I still have a ways to go before I have a running car. I am using a Link G4X FuryX with a custom harness that I still have to build. Everything about the injectors looks genuine though compared to knock offs I have seen.

Those adapters should work if you use injectors with USCAR connectors. Again, EV 14 doesn't designate the connector type. 0280158040 EV 14 injectors use TE/AMP Junior Power Timer connectors, sometimes referred to as Jetronic, EV1, Mini Timer.....stupid confusing. I would skip adapters and just re-crimp the proper connectors on. https://www.ebay.com/itm/20224671126...QAAOSwqjJZdrpq

I like that Idea much better!

Sorry for being the guy who asks a million questions but do you have any preferences wether it be brand, model or configuration of fuel pressure regulators.

Trying sort out the fuel system so I can buy it all at once.

Thanks!

Brand is subjective. You will need a return style with a boost reference. I used Fuelab for my pump, filter, and regulator(53501). Boost Brothers used an Aeromotive regulator and a Bosch 044 pump I think.

Thats correct. Just stick with name brand stuff and you’ll be fine.

I have decided to go with a fuelab fuel pump so I can get variable pump speed for longevity as this car will be both a street and track car. Does the Pe 8400 ecu/wiring harness have pulse width modulation to control the fuel pump speed? Or will I have to run the compatible fuelab prodigy regulator to control the fuel pump?

The PE8400 has PWM capability.

Awesome!
thanks for the info!

One Last question, what would be a good way of setting up engine knock control? Correct me if I'm wrong but the ecu doesnt have this capability out of the box.

You would have to run some sort of external knock monitor and feed that into the PE8400 to retard ignition timing. Mike(@hinton) would have to confirm if that is possible though.

Or choose a different ECU that has it built-in.

Thats correct. We use an external monitor for tuning and track testing. Once the tune is set we longer run one.
