gotta be honest, i still love my setup. I actually love the lag, it makes people think they have a chance lol!

I was actually talking to Thom about about boost recovery with my turbo. I was actually pretty surprised how will it recovers after shifts. You would think it'll be a lot worse.

Not sure about the spikes just yet. i'll figure that one out soon

Its .16 seconds from gear change WOT to full boost.

2nd - 3rd - 4th

Do you have a EBC?

yeah you can, it controls the wastegate, you can make the wastegate stay closed untill it needs to be open, usually 3 psi before full boost.

in 2nd gear it'll overboost so i have it set 5 psi before full boost so i can go for it in 2nd. but then in 3rd + it takes a bit longer to full boost, so thats the reason why i want to go boost by gear.

Is it really that much better than manual control?

Personally, I rely on the digital readout, finite tuning and gear by gear feature....

well i prefer it over a MBC. but flatting the boost curve is a challenge.

When I had my Greddy EBC, boost came on a tad quicker but experience similar issue like paulyy mentioned above and plus i hate fiddling with stuff so the MBC went in. I happy with it. I had the cigaret lighter re-worked so that the MBC can sit and it is adjustable if needed.

For the sake of comparison, i'll get my MBC back in and set it to a boost and set the eBoost2 to the same boost and compair back to back data logs.

I did have the MBC in for a log and did notice a more flatter curve and spikes at the end but the boost sloped down.
The spikes are hard to figure out since the eboost was still connected as a boost gauge and when pressed peak boost it didn't show the boost the spikes registered.
I have the feeling it's got to do with the manifold pressure waves inside the manifold, because i have my old auto meter boost gauge and no spikes are shown but i do see a slight flutter of boost + - 1-2 psi but nothing more then what it shows on the logs which are 5+ boost from maximum boost.

How is the boost line connect to the gauge? is it's own line from the intake manifold?
Are you sure you do not have a leak somewhere?
