I'll leave the bores alone, i don't see it worth being honed IMO.
From my understanding, the factory bearings were made for Porsche by Glyco AG. I know that I've been told by several independent and reputable sources that the current "Porsche factory bearings" are made by Glyco. Honestly though, Federal-Mogul owns Glyco, Geotze, Fel-Pro, Payen, and several other companies... There aren't a lot of bearing manufacturers that don't fall under the Federal-Mogul umbrella anymore, so I don't think there much difference in the bearings, regardless of where you get them.

On Friday, I received a package from LR, and mind you what great packaging they do! i was very impressed.
Not so impressed about the Glyco packaging from one of the bearings, wrapped in paper in a box, i'll need to make sure there's no marks on them. But everything else was excellent!

Update:

I've gotten around to gapping the piston rings, installing the crank and bearings, torquing them down & oil pickup mod / pan baffle.

The O-Ring for the oil pick up sticks out, not sure if it's suppose to be like this? i made sure it's the right one (clear one from victor reinz)

It looks like it's seals but just squashed over the edge.

Looks nice Paulyy,
did you instal new rings wheli you were there or just the old ones?
I would rathe that pickup seal be a little squished then not enough tension.

Looking good Paully! Is that a final torque on the girdle? I do not see any 574?

Yes, between girdle and the block. Manual has you roll it onto both surfaces so generally you can see a bit squeeze out. Just making sure because I read a couple posts where someone forgot it and then ran low oil pressure.

i put enough on the griddle and it should have spread,
i didn't put that much you speak of to let it roll out the sides. i'm pretty sure it should be enough to form a seal.

No worries mate. I am certainly not an expert.
