Tim, I expect the engine and transaxle to be in friday/saturday.
In case anyone missed the thread about what happened with the Spec flywheel:

Doesnt look like much, but I worked on the car a ton today, did a few more coats on the interior when the humidity permitted later in the day. Worked on the engine bay, but still have some more scrubbing/clean up to do before I can start using adhesive to add the heat shielding, and pretty much sqaured the short block up. Need to finish cleaning the motor mount arms, put the AC delete bracket and alternator on, and plug up the oil returns for the balance shafts. Anyway, photos!

OoooO!

Doing mockups with painters tape and printer paper, total PITA.

Both frame rail pieces taped in, like I said, I still have some cleaning before I actually use the adhesive backing to put them in.

A bunch of photos were snapped of me looking unhappy in the engine bay while mocking up the bell housing section.

Again, just taped up, which is why it's hanging in the tunnel.

Oil pickup on, and hardware finally found (I know Chris is gonna give me **** as the hardware isnt all perfectly clean)![](http://www.mturck.com/rofl.gif)

Got the new cam tower caps and cleaned them up to a near polish, thanks Jim (tool)!

Amazing. That gold foil looks like the lunar lander! At the pace you work, you could build 20 turbo engines prior to the Fest!!

Hey Mike, just a few comments. First is a question. Do I assume that you are doing this entire restore, if you want to call it that, all by yourself? It sure looks like it. Two, I cannot believe how much you get done on that car every week, I am just amazed! Three, thank God you didn't post a pic of your face, other wise the Photoshop King himself would've had you already scanned into his database with all the other 1000 victims, only to find yourself morphed into 20 other pics! Lastly, what are going to be the colors of the inside and outside? Looks like you have white primer on the inside now, right?
Looks great pal, keep up the kick-*** pace!

Rob, Chris White has helped me with the engine stuff, and Procar Performance is doing the cage. Other than that, it's all been me
Color scheme will be white interior (it's kind of a dull semi gloss), flat black cage, alcantara dash (but modded, I'm doing that today). I'm still working on door panels, but for now they are stock, and I'm working on a custom "stub" center console which I'd like to send to R. Budd who did my dash (along with the door panels, I think I've finally decided how I want them). Unfortunately, I have red seats sparco's right now, so those dont match anything really. But I plan on buying brand new ones next year, or the following season, so I'll be getting those in Black (eventually).

Mike, the bore of the engine, how did you clean up the carbon without scratching the bore itself? (the carbon on the top of the bore).
