Got all the timming/cutting done, just need to go back through with the grinder and smooth out the edges now. Then it's back to stripping the underbody coating, and hopefully getting the torque tube and rear suspension back in sometime in the next 10 days.

Clearly its pretty cold.. leather jacket + hoodie + beanie + thick gloves.. Whatever floats your boat man, looks cool By the way, who's your photographer while you're actually doing stuff?

+ a few other layers of clothing, (thermal stuff + tshirt and wool socks). The very few photos you see me in are either on a tripod with a timer or I set the camera up so my father could shoot with it (which are what the two today are, he shot them, the previous ones were on a tripod or sitting on a box).

Screw propane heaters.. I have a $60 heater I got at Sears that's electric powered.. works great. I just set it about 10 feet from the area where I'm sitting.

The problem with electric heaters is they really run up the electric bill. They are the most safe in that they dont burn up the oxygen in your space. I have a few kerosene heaters at work that i leave running, after about an hour or so i start getting a headache if i dont air the place out.

I've covered the heater topic many many times (even in this topic). I work in a 19th century carriage barn, it is not insulated and bleeds heat like crazy. If I were to put a space heater in, it would A. run up energy bills like crazy, and B. be a complete waste. Not to mention if I bundle up I stay fairly warm, and I *hate* working with a space heater because you work in the heat and as soon as you move to get a tool or whatever you're back in the cold again. I'd rather adjust to the cold ONCE and just keep warm with lots of layers of clothing. Space heaters = teh suck. This summer though I'm probably stripping the walls, framing, insulating and putting up the Modine shop heater I just aquired.

The worst part working in the garage in NY in the winter I think is that the tools freeze your hands and the ground is cold as hell. Mike how are you going to be attaching the access panels?

The other problem with a propane heater is that it puts a lot of moisture into the air. It’s hard enough to fight the rust battle without adding more moisture in to the storage area!
