Car is at Procar for cage work, aparently Jim (shiner780) saw it Wednesday, so he can attest it still exists. Should have a real photo update mid/late next week, (like thursday/friday most likely). In the meantime, I bought an older 5 series wagon that I've been playing with, just finishing refurbing the entire suspension (and dropping it) mixing in some parts from my old M5 that I still have, still have a ton of work to do on the car. Doing a completely new interior in it and a 5 speed swap (as US spec Tourings never came with manual trans).

As I bought it:

Now: (new shocks, springs, brakes, lines, and e39 M5 wheels)

With a ton more to come. But I wont bore you guys with BMW stuff, pcar updates soon

The wheels alone really wake that car up. Nice avant/estate/saloon whatever. I need a german sedan to fill a hole in the lineup.

Yeah, I saw it and it does still exist. In fact, I helped roll yours out of the shop to make room for mine. I was impressed with Pro Car's workmanship. They did a great job on mine and I'm sure you'll be happy with your final product.

I shot it with one coat of paint this evening, but it's so damn humid I decided to finish it tomorrow. I'll post pics when I finish painting it.

Nice wagon BTW! "Black" seems to be a recurring theme in your driveway.

Detachable floor w/Zeus Fasteners installed, fuel cell in, rear cage work in. There is also a bunch of frame connections and bracing below the floor, but I still have plenty of access to the transaxle. We're planning out the front stuff right now. I'm hoping to debut this car at the Maxton Monster Mile next spring. I've already sold the NA motor and this thread will likely taper off till Fall when the Turbo motor sees some real progress as the rest of the car is mostly done and I'm vacationing and moving over the next two months. I will get some more detailed pics of the work and a writeup on the cage and my positive experiences with ProCar performance later this week.

Wow great job I love the rear floor sweet idea! The cage looks awesome. I've been waiting for up dates on your car....Worth the wait! Good job.

Looks good Mike. Have you thought about trying to get the fuel cell recessed into the floor to get the weight down lower?

Skip we discussed it, but with how the floor and rear unibody are right now we decided it wasnt cost effective at this moment. I have some changes/additions that I want to make in the future, but dont know when/if they will go into effect.

Brian, thanks man, but it looks like nothing compared to your project!
