Then that silly bastard needs to post a damn dyno. Dare I say, please? And i was doubting the over 500hp on just 1 bar. I see He's saying 1.3bar or higher.. Do-able. That 2 Valve head just has to be massively worked. Curious what the chart looks like.

He maintained that the torque curve was VERY flat. Why the sudden interest Bruce? You got something to put on the list soon???

Ok, guys! Corleone here!

Many speculations...

Yes, several runs at 1 bar gas with different ignitions got 449 rwhp, tourqe is flat from 3500-7500 with load. Power dont decrease at all up to 7800 rpm. I have done one E85 run but the Rototest computer did fail so there was just one run, we were 3 people that saw 563 rwhp on the screen with 1.25 bar boost at redline, some more boost at lower revs. As the computer failed I couldnt get a paper on this but I will back this up soon, I promise.
This was with just over 11 in Afr so maybe there is some more power to get lenaing out a bit. But I think the compressor is maxed out or near. Hot side (1.06) sems to work as the exhaust temp is about 850 degres C (1560 F).
And yes I have a really worked head with 42 mm exhaust valves and 48 intake valves. Cam i a special made for me Milledge for solid lifters.
I have done about 50 maps for the stand alone and worked a lot with the ignition and I can see that ignition have to be aggresive to have power and thats why I have the power at pretty low boost. I have tried to increase boost with lower ignition but even if boost compensates the power the car is boaring, now it pretty nasty with instant power when it is in its power range (4500-7800 rpm). Several Rennlisters have seen my ignition maps by mail.

Right now the car will have a Heigo roll cage, one more Sparco seat and 6 p belts.

Next to modify is the cooling system, if you really have a lot of power you probably have problems with hot spots boiling. If you dont have have the problems you probably dont have the power either... I think I have solved this problem and I will to next season modify the head. This season will make some other hose routings, modify the expansion tank and add some parts...
As I have a twice as large water cooler I dont have any heating problems but on wot for 10 seconds there will be air in the system. Its not the head or gasket, I have 14.5 mm head studs torqued to 175 nm and with a glued MLS gasket with gas rings. I will tell you more later of the cooling system modification...

I have though of change to a bigger turbo as its more easy to have top power with a big compressor but I dont really know. I have several friends that have built several of Swedens fastest street cars and you will come to an "edge" where many goes down again in turbo sizes, yes top power is one thing but I like a faster car more than be a dyno queen.

All for now and over and out!

Good reply Corleone. Interesting to see your comments on heating / cooling. Look forward to more posts.

Thanks for the update. Yes that is the beauty of Ethanol...TIMING.

I am betting the water pump doesn't keep up properly myself. I personally don't like it, and especially the routing (front to rear). That is why I use the electric to feed into the rear of the head as well as the stocker. If I get my way I will have a HV electric bilge pump cross feeding everything with multiple inlets and outlets.

Holy crap.. Someone who gets it. Wow. I'm almost crying with joy. Yes. This is why I Haven't stepped up to larger turbo. - My class rules per weight say 400-450@ wheel. My turbo is spec'd out strictly for that. It won't be overspinning, but still a little out of it's efficiency range at 450.

A GT35 R may spool 2-300 rpm slower than a GT 30 R. Bu time is the real factor. So say it (GT35) takes a little over a tenth longer to spool than the GT30. Ten corners later, You're a second slower. (Both can easily reach 450whp) A full second is just too long.

P.S. you still need a dyno sheet to be on the list... Can't be too much trouble?

Totally agree. THere is some freeze plug thing in the back of the head on the 968. I think I will route some cooling in to that also.

a 7L 928 motor...what a beast

anyways i dont know if he has dyno'd it but one of the local 997 guys ive met from here is running around 750HP...ive personally seen him dust off an enzo on the highway...his SN is "OVRBOOST" i think

also a guy with a 993 turbo R (RUF built) runs around 570...niche.
