For ME (opinion, opinion alert!), the headlights on a 928 are part of the decisive styling statement (the rear curve is the other element that makes a 928 a 928 in my eyes). While that slant nose is pretty cool, it just doesn't look right to me. And yet I think slant nose 911s are ok - How do I hold two opinions that contradict each other?
