928s for Sale

Looks like a really nice car!
That is a nice one! Congrats!
UPDATE: I now am the proud owner of a GTS. I went for the Amazon Green one in the end. If you followed my posts, I also viewed/drove a Cobalt Blue GTS, but dismissed after too many warning bells from the Porsche Tech's answer avoidance and felt the owner was trying to over-sell the car. I really wanted an Amazon Green anyway, and negotiated €49K which I thought was fair given the condition, miles, full Porsche service history, 2x keys, books etc. I couldn't check the thrust bearing prior to sale due to logistical issues with anyone nearby that could, but it was not showing any symptoms (hard to start warm, etc), so I took the gamble. Now I have it and registered in Sweden, driving it more... it really drives sublime, with all electrics working perfectly, no rattles, vibrations, noises, etc. just a few small winter maintenance projects. So now washed and parked waiting for the Spring.

Congrats.
Beautiful car (and color!).
Here's another Aventurine green from Frenzy few years ago (2019).
Bruce Bades 1995 GTS.

Strosek Ultra for sale. But with very high mileage 296.000km.
You would surely need to get som detailed history on this before buying. Company built strosek? Service history? Owners? Paperwork? But otherwise a great canvas for a nice ultra with good strosek options...

@cobalt’s GTS’s ride height seems about right. Too many 928s are far too low in terms of risk of damage to the block mounts for the alternator and a/c compressor.

Apropos vehicles on BaT, PCARMarket, etc., I would propose that we as a group make early comments requesting that sellers post:
- pictures of block stamps with engine code and serial number
- crank-end play measurements done, correctly, at the flywheel. (For Autos)
There’s at least one or two 928s that sell on BaT every year where new owners are ‘stuck’ with 928s that wouldn’t pass those ‘tests.’
Yes, yes, I know that markets are based upon information asymmetry, but I am sick and @#$^ing tired of being the bearer of devastating news to folks that just paid big bucks for something they didn’t, in fact, get.

i had to replace my perfect under tray with a metal one after hitting debris which tore through the cover and easily could have damaged the oil pan if the car was any lower.

Right or wrong, he is to be congratulated on an excellent purchase and welcomed aboard!
My GTS is an "Exhibition" model and it sits a bit too low. Nothing in its extensive service records to explain the lowering. Most likely scenario is that someone did it and did not include the record, but since Porsche did use some of these cars for display at auto shows it may have been performed by Porsche? One thing is for sure, that "Exclusive Department" did many unique modifications to 928's. .
Enjoy your car! Its a beauty!
