Probably the case. I was unaware of it until a few days ago.
Either that or it has never been properly marketed. Facebook Marketplace isn't exactly the best place to market a car like this - particularly if you list it as an Auto. And trying to sell a car like this locally in Thornburg VA is probably like trying to sell a lifted F350 4x4 Crew Cab in Manhattan.

I was bidding on this as I wouldn’t feel right not to. Anyway, thankfully someone outbid me because I just don’t need any more cars right now! Might be a decent deal for someone looking for a GT and wanting to catch up on deferred maintenance.

Hmm, I'm going to go after that red 85 from BaT yesterday this weekend. At least try to find out what the seller wants, and maybe do a deal. If I do, there will be a very well sorted and sweet 997 going to market shortly thereafter.

I agree maybe a $15K reserve. I put that car at $15 to $18K, but that was before I knew about the windshield. That is a $2K fix - it has the antenna in it. I'd be very tempted to move on this car at $15 tops. I'm going to call this weekend, after the seller settles in after his HI trip. Colden is real close to where I used to live, South of Buffalo.

He will be updating the description tonight and lowering his reserve. If I just wanted a driver this could still be a great deal.

Update on this car if you are watching. You will see that most of the bids have dropped out including mine. Turns out that it no longer has the original engine and has a M28/42 out of an S4. I will give it to the owner for being so upfront and honest once he realized it after being asked to verify. He had no clue it wasn’t the original engine.
He will be updating the description tonight and lowering his reserve. If I just wanted a driver this could still be a great deal.
