I tried contacting the person on offer up, but no reply. I did see that he tried putting his contact details directly in the ad text which was filtered out by offer up. So, I am not entirely sure what happened here.
This just showed up in my email. This car is just 2 minutes from my house so if I can help anybody out here I would be more than happy to. I know the shop is selling it for a customer ( based on a phone call) who also had two 944 there for sale as well. looks as it was in the salt water then had the display changed to "show" mileage. Bolster wear, door sill wear, rusty door hinge bolt etc
Look at sunroof and visor bulging looks like water sat in the car. Think it will give Electrical nightmares ?
Seller on BaT has posted that A/C comp is hanging because “in the process of having the a/c belt changed.”
If indeed this on-BaT GT is the same one shown in Adam’s pictures (I assume Adam double-checked the VIN, but want to make sure the proviso is obvious) then the A/C compressor is hanging because the mounting bracket is snapped. Luckily this bracket is not part of the block and bolts-on. Of course we can’t see if the block has also been damaged.
