I tried to buy it from the guy on FB marketplace. He said he was taking offers starting at 12-13K for that car, in that damaged state with a SALVAGE title.
Not much better now considering they want someone to come do the work to take Engine out. It is far from a frictionless sale.
That would make a great parts car. But Drive to the car and disassemble everything like you would if you were pulling it for repair. I guess if you had the time.
I've got a clean title s4 shell if you decide to buy his whole car.
Ed,
Too many cars, too many 928s. Too little time to drive everything and getting too old. I joined CCR (not Credence but Collector Car Rehab) now I see the right path. (for a while).

I understand. I did a significant downsize recently myself in the auto department.
Haven't seen that one yet myself. That brick street is awesome.
I love that street, too ... nice-looking neighborhood. That car also appeared on Jalopnik's NPOND (f/k/a NPOCP) this morning. Commenters have clearly spent no time on this forum.
Actually that's the seller's house and I drove the 86.5 over to check it out one day. I've got a 28x50 garage and did some cleanup last weekend, so should be able to put 7 cars in, but I don't really like it that tight.
Candidate for most humble-brag ever..
