So what did you do to your 928 Today......

I can't afford to pay them...I am unemployed... (well, I am doing a little side work for a good friend, but not enough to pay all the bills...THANKS FRIEND! You know who you are! :-) They get copies of the pics (not all of the pics because some of them just REALLY SUCK...but all the half way good ones, and I photoshop them and all that) so they can use them in their portfolio and then I give them a copy of the calendar too. That is another reason why the calendar project is not a profitable venture. I give away quite a few to those who help out (like my models and photogs).
It is really fun for everyone! You can't find these girls and Hooters, Twin Peaks or strip clubs though! Trust me I have looked and asked and begged (a few of the REAL HOTTIES) to come out for pics (and a few times I even offered to pay them a little bit) and NOTHING! Gotta know where to look.
Above is Taylor and when I asked her if we were going to shoot some topless or nude she said, "yes" and before I could turn around she was naked! LOL! LOVE THAT GIRL! There were three of us shooting and she spent at least the last hour of the shoot walking around buck naked! Let me say this...the day DID NOT SUCK! The top girl was Kat and it was her VERY FIRST modeling gig so she was not ready to get naked...maybe next time!

After going into the driver's door a couple of times now futzing around with my door stop, finally found the snapping noise I've been hearing while opening and closing the door was not the door stop but a warn pivot pin! Switched in the less-worn pin from the passenger side and now all quiet.
Ever wonder why you didn't think of (or try) the simplest thing first ???

Sorry Tom, I couldn't resist
Now back to my own typos

Took my S4 to the track for the first time. Totally awesome experience. I was impressed by how well the car ran and handled. Though I did manage to pull a complete 360 with the instructor in the car. It's tougher to go fast around a track than I imagined. I was much faster at the end of the day than the beginning. The all-season tires seemed to help in the wet, but really sucked as the track got drier. Took a ride in 2008 vette at the track. What a beast that was on the straights.
Anyway, on the whole I was very pleased with the car and it doesn't seem any the worse for the experience. In fact it seemed especially happy on the trip home.

Murray,
Welcome to the dark side! It is WAY more difficult than it looks and if it was your first time... well, trust me you NEVER went fast! Think about it this way. Even if you were THE FASTEST CAR in the green (beginner) group there are FOUR MORE groups above you and you are probably no faster than about the middle of the group above you. After you have done 5 or 6 track WEEKENDS then you will really start to get a feel for the car and then start to see what "going fast" is all about!
I have over 20,000 instructor miles under my belt and a few of them have been with 928 guys. Most all of them spun once!
Randy,
Correct...NOT CL and unfortunately for me none of them have "sucked" so to speak and yes, you are correct I didn't say where I get them from.

pcar928fan, I was actually happy it was a wet track day. Gave me an excuse for being slow. Well another excuse anyway. I agree, I was faster at the end of the day but not necessarily actualy fast. I was happy to lap the vette but got smoked by the guy in the Imprezza. Totally fun day and happy there was no breakage. I will definitely do this again, next time with summer tires.

It is a ROCKIN' good time! As long as you keep improving you are doing things the right way! Don't rush the learning process and enjoy every lap! Don't get sucked in to a little "race" either or things can end badly! I did that when I was in the yellow group chasing down a Z3 M Roadster...just as I got on his bumper I overshot a track out and bent a rim! ARGH! All in good fun!

Yeah, today was more about understanding the line, actually braking hard and being smooth. It felt a bit like playing golf; 1 or 2 good corners feels great, but putting together a whole lap....that's going to take a lot of practice. Got a new appreciation for my 22 year old car. Approaching a corner at close to 100mph and knowing that the brakes will haul you down and get you round is really cool!

I think I can speak for most of us 928 aficionados when I say
James, you are the man!
And what did I do to my 928 today? Well, I just fantasized about a naked hottie sitting on the sill! Works for me.

I am so glad you and about 100 others are happy with the efforts I have made. It has really been fun, but it takes a TON OF WORK and a whole bunch of up front money to make it happen. I just like to break even and do something nice for folks...
Oh, to keep ON TOPIC...here is what I did for my 928 TODAY! Hopefully I will get this installed this week! Should be fun! Thanks Ed...when it is done I'll have pics of it fully on and will thank you properly!

Murray, that is an event I want to make SO BAD IT HURTS, but it does not look like I will make it this year either. One of these times I am going to show up and DR and Jeanie (I think I misspelled her name again) are going to have a heart attack because I actually made it to one of their big events! Because I have Jon up there and my friend Bob Ingram, I have to plan some time to actually hang out and visit everyone if I get that far east! Love to do it, but you know the time and money problem...if you have the time (like me now) you don't have the money; if you have the money, then you don't have the time! A terrible catch 22 and I am right in the middle of it!
