So what did you do to your 928 Today......

This morning I finally figured out the cause of the ABS issue and knock on wood the last of the electric gremlins. It was not the fuse, relays, dirty sensors or even the heat soaked disintegrating barrel connectors for the front wheels. The problem was corrosion between the two wires on the terminal next to the power steering reservoir.

Just got home this morning from Colorado driving to North Carolina. Driving through Appalachia was nice!

Rolled the fender lips..a hair of flare on the fenders themselves, and installed mu Carrera-3 wheels.
18x8 & 18.11 on 235/295s.
Its tight..TOO tight...245/275s are going on these wheels at the tire shop perhaps tomorrow.
Better photos with the new tires in a day or 2.

cleaning the engine and polishing the cams today.
I am using the Scotch Brite pads which I cut into a 1.5" strip and cupped in my hand evenly polish around the lobe never rubbing across the lobe.
Here are a few pictures. The far cam is done
I also started to clean the intake ports while I was cleaning the head but it turned out into polishing the ports up a bit to smooth out some of the rough casting.

Drove it today for a romp around town about 1.5 hrs, and then brought it inside and cleaned 3 of the 6 grd points. It's always a good day when you take the shark out

I had been unable to solo- bleed the clutch in the GTS satisfactorily about a month ago, so the car has been sitting. With Doc Brown's help today, we had it bled perfectly in about 5 minutes. Can't wait for a test drive to see whether another 2mm off the clutch master piston is enough to get full release....
