Installed new hood shocks....amazing now I don't need a broom handle to keep the hood from hitting my head.
Tomorrow...finish pealing off the glue for the install of the new hood heat shield from Nicole and add a little oil...she's 1/2 quart low, then off for a mini detail.
The next couple of days.......
Next week...install new hood/heat shield, install fancy 928 door sills.
April 21...Full car "Pebble Beach" detail
April 22..Drive to Hershey
April 23..See you in the concourse....definately not going to win anything but what the heck....

Manifold and ancillary stuff installed. Ran fuel pump and pressure rock steady at 58 - 60 psi. No leaks. Was beautiful not to smell any fuel. Added coolant, purged rad and fired her up. Wow! It started, idled excellent, I let it warm up for a bit and she's ready to go for the summer. I was so proud of myself. Tomorrow I'm putting on the insurance and take her for a spin and test those new Ford injectors for any drive ability improvements. Idle quality excellent.

I replaced the 45 fuses in my CE with new ones today. Most had minor corrosion and it was easier, and recommended on RL posts, to just start with new ones. The guy at my local UAP wanted to know why I needed so many fuses - I mumbled something about Germans...
Doing this let you assess each one systematically. Here is the final tally:
11 were the wrong rating (all too high)
two had blown
three had overheated from local resistance (corrosion)

Martin did you install the "regular" type or the "smart glow fuses" that lights up when blown?
I use them and they're great. Was able to find a blown wiper fuse in the dark without checking circuit.
I even thought of replacing the wooden cover with 1/2" thick clear plexiglass to aid in future diagnosis
They're sold everywhere now.

Fred, I LIKE that idea A LOT!!!
Today I gassed up EURO85 and drove to my FAV BBQ joint in Taylor, TX; Louie Mueller's! YUMMY! Car drove great! Seem to have a sticking (open) relay that controls the windows...have had the problem before. Car gets warm (usually when it is hot or warm anyway) and the relay sticks closed (or is it open) and the windows and sunroof won't work. Dang it! Happened last night when I drove it too...
Other than that little SNAFU EURO85 is AMAZING!!! Getting faster every day, running better everyday and turning heads EVERYWHERE IT GOES!!!

Installed a second pair of 8" electric fans behind radiator. Now there are 2 fans on each side of Supercharger pulley. Plus the 16" A/C pusher fan out front. Wired them thru an adjustable thermo switch and relay setup. Hope this solves my "heat" issue in Phoenix this summer.
Finally unboxed the MODA 1 wheels I bought last year from TireRack. New Continental Extreme Contact DW tires arrived. Hope to get those mounted up later this week.
New intake pipe and elbows arrived to run S/C intake into drivers side fender arrived. Thats next weekends project

Today worked on replacing passenger side radiator fan and both fan connectors that were corroded and plastic connector that was toast. Will be flushing radiator, replacing top and bottom hoses and replacing green anti freeze with G05 when done.

I like the idea of the plexi, but 1/2" is pretty heavy - arguably you could just put a 1/4" plexi window in the plywood cover over the fuses.
I've also been toying with adding a strut at the side to prop it open. I removed it of course for serious work, but anytime you have to pop the cover for a quick look it is a pain that it doesn't stay all the way up (at least on my car).

Brad--
That ugly filthy oil filler cap just leaps out from the beautiful metal pieces. dr's prescription is a bit of Comet with hot water and a nylon scrub brush. In less than a minute it will look like new. Wax it and it will be easier to keep looking that way.
