Rest up, do your rehab therapy and all the other medical stuff you'll need to do, and take care of yourself. The 928 and RL will be waiting.

And next time we have dinner in SF, it'll be vegetarian fare

Replaced the B2 valve on the 89 and refilled the transmission with ATF. Plan to start it this evening and see if forward gears are operational.

Got the Stepson inspected and registered for the Saturday breakfast last Saturday. It's a beast with the new injector adaptors and new 4 nozzle 24# injectors. Very fun to drive.

Finally figured out why the front of my 89's engine kept getting covered in oil.

The dipstick wouldn't fully go into the tube because the o ring was new (replacement dipstick). Some heavy pressure fixed that.

It also passed smog with ~ average numbers so that's good.

Drove it, sans muffler, to the fabrication shop. My daughter said she could hear me driving from half a mile away

All Frenzy stuff -
Checked tire pressure and oil, cleaned the interior, got the bug splatter off the front, cleaned the windows....and with PA system fully charged tested on battery only, and the mics. All good and ready for Frenzy. Looking forward to getting some help with the fuel line replacement from Stan.

Reattached the Driver's side outer CV boot to the flange after it came off at some point and sprayed grease all over the inside of the wheel and everything else in the area. Boot wasn't torn, the edge just pulled out from under the clamp....replaced the slung grease, installed a better clamp, and cleaned up the area. Also re-torqued all the rear suspension, cross member, and transmission mounting bolts just to be safe.

That's what is planned for next week.

I always take a week of vacation the week before Frenzy to take care of the little stuff around the house and to get the car ready for Frenzy.

Always a great relaxing week.
Kids at school, wife at work, all the time for myself...

And the weather is usually nice and cool.
This year it's just beautiful but very warm for this time of the year. 25 to 30C. It has been like that since two-three weeks ago.
Never seen that for that long for this time of the year.

But the greatest part of that week since the past six years is hitting the road Thursday morning to go to Sterling, VA...

I had that with a replacement dipstick. However I ended up breaking it and had to buy another. I did try the old o-ring on the new dipstick but it was still far too tight. Then I bought a new dipstick tube and now have a perfect fit.

Default New hatch

Got rid of the bent rear hatch and put this one on.. Not nearly the hassle I thought it would be...Now all I have to do is transfer the interior panels.

I finally got to work on my 89 S4. Replaced the fuel pressure regulator, fuel damper, temp 2 sensor, new fuel hoses, ( Thank you Greg Brown) and it fired right up and purred!

It's been an expensive process! New in tank pump, and new external pump, hoses, filter, and hard line.

Getting her ready for a 3rd coast run in November. Gonna be fun with the supercharger!
