I just sat in mine and made vroom vroom sounds, smelling the leather and thinking if I needed to install the fin thingy to the fan motor in anticipation to Al's HVAC controller.... mmm leather smells good...

refinish the paint
Been spending a couple hours a night for the last week getting paint back from the dead..
1. 4 bars of meguires Clay bar
2. Half bottle of neguires cutting compound
3. Full bottle of meguires scratch remover polish
4. Bottle of black magic carnauba wax
5. Bottle of turtle wax ice concentrate
6. 5 buffing pads
7. About 10 microfiber towels
All swirl marks are gone, almost all scratches have been removed and burned in and it now shines something beautiful.
Total time about 16 hours
Next up is some tint next week and then sand, polish and paint the rims.

Replaced both door arrestors to keep my open doors from flopping closed. Old ones were toast. Can't believe what a difference such a small thing makes!

First steps towards swapping in the new transmission mounts -- Butt is up on stands and a casual survey of the work is done. The big question: how much cleaning will be involved? Hint: I haven't turned a wrench on it yet. Film at 11...

Detailed engine for Werks in Monterey and replaced bad fuel damper. It's been bad for 2 years! It would slowly lose vacuum over 5 min. No more hard hot starts!!

Of course, because it's so simple, cheap, and easy, it's nowhere near the isolation afforded by new transmission mounts. I'm going to drive it a few more times to be sure, but there's definitely more transmission sounds coming up into the cabin now. The Good News is that, along with the motor mounts over the winter, there is no hot air coming up through the console with the windows down or sunroof open.
I may try just pulling the inner pieces of PS hose out of the heater hose spacers before I put the new mounts in. I know I'm going to get them in soon. Just experimenting/playing on the way to completion.

Drifting
I picked up an HF three-ton low profile jack to go with my two-ton very low profile/high lift version. Two jacks cuts the time to put the car up on LiftBars and 6-ton stands to less than half the time with one jack.
Nice to see zero metal on the plug magnet (Mobil 1 15w-50 2-year drain interval, about 5000 miles since last change, and 94,000 miles on the odo.).
Now prepping to install Greg's fuel lines (and later a new PS pressure line). Have a new battery ground strap to go in, too.
