I took a picture of the inevitable consequence of the laws of supply and demand RE: Rogerboxes.

Yeah, the (few, early) 5-speed boxes live indoors....)

Now that is 928 **** right there. The manual boxes are so delicate they have to stay indoors.

Applying Meguiars #7 Showcar Glaze all over the entire car followed by Gold Class wax. I already did Synthetic Sealant 2.0 all over the car about a month ago. I am still working on a routine of applying the sealer twice a year and getting Gold class applications every two months. My roof is slowly oxidizing and it seems like the only way to maintain the depth of red in it is to continue to glaze, seal and wax it.

If you polish it with a compound first to the desired gloss level, then wax it, the polish will bring out the depth of the colour and shine and the wax will protect it. Then just waxing once or twice a year should be fine. you can use the glaze on a more regular basis to maintain the wax and the shine. That should work for you.

Washed windows inside and out, checked tire pressure (all different!), added "bling" (Porsche valve caps) and learned a new German word: steuergerät (control unit)...

Hi,

Filled the tank with 98 octane fuel, 78 litres, €132 (ouch!!), with the last tank I’ve made an average consumption of 12,9L/100km, with about 50/50 driving around town and highway.

The more I drive it, the more I love it, it’s a 31 year old fantastic car!

Regards

Well here is how it looks as of this morning. This is just glaze. I have not polished it since earlier this year when I applied sealant.

Replaced failed coolant fan with new - pulling the shroud -> what a PITA.
Replaced short hose while coolant was drained.
Changed oil/filter.
Checked status of splines at flywheel -> all good.
Changed out engine coolant.

Fan system works as should when evaluated after the job.

Add:
I forgot to mention Deoxit 100 spray to 14 pin connector while power down, Deoxit 100 spray to connections at starter, and Deoxit 100 spray to main engine ground.

My ash tray hinge broke and since I use it often to hide the iPhone cable, I decided to rebuild and reinforce it. Just some kwik weld, a few screws, a corner mend plate and a dremel and I'm back in business!

replaced the left rear marker bulb, following the right rear done yesterday, also torqued the rear lugs. Changed out the rusty license plate screws, and was going to clear the sun roof drains, but of course the sunroof will not open now.
