Mine is not yet on the road this year but should be soon.
Hope so...

I was taking apart a transmission at Gregs yesterday when Mark W stopped in to drop off a motor. that turned in to a transmission performance/weakness discussion. i managed to get the transmission completely apart and she is in the hot tank. this week i will return to take the gear sets apart and see what she needs.

After fitting my recently purchased Cup II shod with lovely new AD08s, I went for a drive with my GF.

I've used AD08s on my other car for a while, but it's the first time I've treated the 928 to some quality rubber, and it feels wonderful.

Started my car for the first time after a long 8 year, this is obviously a hobby, thank goodness for this forum engine rebuild. Had beer and brats for dinner and ran around like a little kid at Christmas.

Bertrand, hope you get airborne soon.

On inspection in the sunlight found a small spider on the dash by the vent. Have some good stuff for this as the two that I had already repaired are still good. Northern Maine winters are brutal. Also made the obligatory drive to city hall to pay back reg fees while she slept.

Got all four balanced at a local shade tree shop...
I was desperate,
Can't afford $200 245-45-16 comp treads right now, so I have succomed to refitting the old BF Goodrich tires.
Vibrrations were unbearable at 70+ speeds.
...so, I go to this nearby shop, they will ballance my wheels, (they didn't see me pull in)
They're like yeah, we can do it, what is the car?
I say ..Porsche 928,...
...OH, you can imagine the exchange when I had to repeat myself twice.
...anyway...the guy puts it on the lift, removes the tires, ...
I'm, thinking OH BOY, ..
He's tugging on the fronts, then grabs a pair of channel lock pliers, and trys to pull the dust cap, (cue deliverance theme music).
An hour later, he comes over the woman at the desk, and whispers in her ear....
Deja kibort all over again, He asked her to look up torque specs..
I spout out 96lbs, he looked up at me over his glasses, I could only raise my brow while nodding.
...well, that's the short story....
